Straightforward installation. I was able to leave the top portion of the existing disposal attached to my sink, and just twist off the bottom unit that had failed. This made the installation faster/easier. The only difficult part was that my previous disposal was a direct wire power connection to a junction box, and this one is a plug-in style. I had to convert the junction box to an outlet plug, and then plug this one in. Not a big deal, but required a trip to the hardware store, since I had not examined the original installation closely enough.

Replaced a “leaking from the bottom” Badger 5 garbage disposal of unknown age. Rusty on the inside, so I’m thinking 7-10 years. Ordered the same make and model and it arrived the next day, saving a trip to the hardware store. Saved about $10 and just put a bucket under the old unit until the new one arrived. It wasn’t leaking bad enough to rush about and get one. (it was hot out). Delivered around 2 and was done with the install in about 30 minutes. It just fit right on the existing under sink mount. Really only needed a screwdriver for hose clamp for dishwasher and it’s knockout. Have paper down for a day to insure no leaks before we put everything back. Works great. Nice and quiet.

Bought to replace existing Insinkerator Badger 5 1/2 hp waste disposal after many, many years. (The water quality of water in the SE suburbs of PHX is horrific compared to my home state of WI…did I mention Insinkerator is HQ’d in Wisconsin?) As always, outstanding quality with built in the USA pride. Easy installation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Get a experienced Handyman to install it. Your are going to live with it for over 10 years so want it perfect and no leaks. It really takes a person with experience to install. If you are a senior don't bother. Yes plug it in and makes sure it works before install. Lots of little things were done correctly.

Easy to install, fits same as my previous disposer since it was the same. So far, its doing a good job, but I did think my previous disposer should have lasted longer since it was not all that old. Hopefully this one will last longer.

Very solid device, relatively easy to install. Ultimately had motor issue, but customer service was very helpful and a replacement was provided.

The dimensions of the disposal you order should fit the dimensions and placements of the pipes you have leading to it.***IMPORTANT*** If you are attaching your dishwasher to the side of this unit, read the instructions carefully as you will need to take a screwdriver and hammer and break off a plastic tab on the unit before installing or your dishwasher will not be able to drain it's water. The instructions show/tell you how to do this.

Replaced same model old unit lasted over 15yrs no problems, easy installation took 10 minutes I definitely recommend this brand
