Great for homeschooling
This is a great learning classroom calendar for getting children to begin to understand the months, days of the week, seasons etc... I chose this particular calendar for a couple of reasons. Firstly it’s straight forward and simplified. Some of the other calendars were too visually cluttered and I found them hard to focus on the current day, month etc. I also didnt want to have a large calendar that would take up the better part of a wall. We are using this in a homeschooling atmosphere whereas an actual classroom with lots of children would require those large calendars. The material is a hard cardboard and comes with a cord to hang. For us this is meant to be looked at once a day and hung back up. So we have no need of anything overly heavy duty because this isn’t something that’s getting played with or walked around the house with. Another thing I like about this calendar is how the months are colored in groups for the seasons. For example March, April, May are all green signifying they are all Spring months. Overall I am more than happy with my choice and would purchase it again.

Good Teaching Tool
I ordered this to use for teaching my preschoolers basic calendar skills. They enjoy using it and I've found it useful. I prefer this magnetic board to the velcro style boards I've seen. Magnets are included for seasons, days of the week, months, dates, and weather. Weather tiles include sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rain, sleet, and snow. The month magnets are color coded by seasons. The only negative might be that the year is not included, but I think this is a great tool for introducing basic calendar knowledge. The size might be too small for classroom use, but it works beautifully for us at home.

Great reinforcement & fun for my Kindergarten Child
Bought this for my 5 1/2 Year old to help him learn his Months and understand the concept of years. He really loves it. He is very much enjoying changing his Days of the Week, Date and deciding what the weather conditions are for the day. He even goes to change the conditions if it changes during the day. It is very well presented with nice colors and i am more than happy with the quality. The board is nice and sturdy as are the pieces and the magnets work well. I can see this lasting pasted my second child who is currently 2 1/2. Happy I chose this one over some of the other versions out there.

Wonderful Homeschool Tool.
We love this calendar! It is a little smaller than I'd hoped, but it gets the job done. We sing the "Months of the Year" song and "Days of the Week" song daily to help my Pre-K daughter learn these basic skills. After a few weeks, she has them memorized both in order and recognizing the sight words. My only complaint is that it does not include a year. I used a dry-erase marker to write the year on the top. We go over yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Following the numerical dates has helped her understand basic addition and subtraction when trying to remember the previous and future dates. Her favorite part is choosing the weather. She will jump up and race to her room when the weather changes from cloudy to snow, etc. Very fun and definitely worth the money.

Great Calendar for Homeschooling
This is exactly what it sounds like in the product description. The calendar is made with good quality products, lightweight, very nice looking, and it came with all of its parts. So excited to use this for homeschooling!

Decent magnetic calendar
We got this calendar for our 2-year-old for Christmas. Pros: The pieces are colorful and the typeface is very readable. There's a place to put all the pieces that aren't in use. In addition to date, day of the week, month, and season, there's a weather category, which is nice for a pre-verbal kid -- my daughter can look out the window and decide which weather magnet to place. The pieces are big enough to be handled easily. Cons: The backing board has warped so it has a noticeable curve to it. It doesn't affect the magnets, but it does annoy me. The magnets are quite weak -- this might actually be a "pro" because it's easier for a kid to move the magnets, but it also means they tend to slide around at the slightest touch. The icons for "winter" and "summer" are similar to those for "snow" and "sunny," which is confusing to my daughter. The magnets are made of foam with a flexible magnetic backing, so they can be bent if you're not careful with them. All in all, my daughter and I like this calendar, and I think it will be great for helping her learn calendar skills. I just wish some of the little things were better.

Great teaching tool!
This is a great teaching tool for kids. My little ones were familiar with the days and months but this helps to solidify it in their minds. They know the spelling of each day and month and now I mix up the days and months and have them place it in the right sequence and they enjoy it! I also supplement it with a real calendar so that they look up the date and then it's fun for them to point it out on the calendar. I think this is one of the best tools to teach kids days, months, seasons and weather that is quite tangible and interactive instead of just repetitive songs - though I also incorporate days of the week and months of the year songs as we do this each day. My only recommendation would be to make the magnets a bit sturdier and bigger as it can be easily smashed if the calendar falls down . But this is a fabulous for young ones to use and great for teachers to incorporate in their classrooms.

Very happy with calendar
We bought this for my granddaughter, now nearly 5 1/2, and grandson, 3 yrs. 3 months. The granddaughter can do most of this for herself, with assistance, and enjoys it very much. She has learned a lot from it. For the grandson, it's still all about having something magnetic to stick, and little pieces to toss around, but he admires his sister's ability to do and understand it. I find the quality quite good, it's cute, it's durable, and we're very happy. I'm about to buy another one for a different grandchild.

Magnets not so strong so bits do fall and get lost if not looked after, but nice product.
