Small and rough
Took off the plastic clip and use a split ring and an oval shackle to hang it from my vest. It is small and light. Not sure how long the sheath will last and sharpening bigger hooks may be tougher, but for a small easy to use hook sharpener that will be hard to lose, it will be tough to beat.

EZE-LAP H, a sharp sharpener
First the great: small (but adequate) size, flat, sturdy plate, right grit (fine); this should fit in any kit whether fishing, hunting, or even tucked into a folding knife or Swiss Army Knife pouch to be there when needed. (Many of these kits will use only the sharpener and its vinyl pouch, removing the plastic clip and even the split ring for best compactness.)Plate style sharpeners are easier to use with Scandi ground blades, and to repair a damaged edge. The small pen-cap rod sharpeners can be effective in sharpening secondary bevels if the rod is long enough, if you know the technique, and if you know and hold the right angle.The not so great: The plastic clip isn't as useful as the sharpening plate - it's big, binds, and makes the "H" too big for many uses without removal of the clip. It's much better to just use a length of paracord as a lanyard either on the split ring or just through the sharpener plate's hole - or simply store it where you can get at it just in its vinyl pouch.All in all, the EZE-LAP H is an excellent value and an effective sharpener that is affordable enough so that you can buy a few to stow away here and there.

Small, compact, and perfect in a pocket survival kit
Used it to sharpen my knives and wood chisels, works great. It's smaller than a piece of gum. Fits perfectly in a pocket survival kit, like the Altoids (sp?) kind.
