Very interesting book on the subject of hacking and security.
This book is really very interesting. I bought it because I was interested in learning more about computer security, and it really starts from a beginners perspective, which is great because while I am computer savvy, I wouldn't say hacking is my forte. It starts with terminology, which I expect all good classes to do, and goes well into history and then how-to's. I have learned so much from reading this book and it is really an interesting subject matter. I love expanding my mind! I had no idea different types of hackers called themselves different things, and that there had been viruses that had made hacking history, which is just pretty cool to me. This book is an interesting and quick read and I would recommend it to someone looking to get into the subject matter.

Great info to stay safe on the internet !
Hacking is an interesting matter to me. Now-a-days, it has become a common phenomenon as we find the news of hacking daily. However hacking has always been enticing me.This book breaks down exactly what Hacking is and how to do it with tips and facts. There is so much information in this book which is very thorough, interesting, and easy to follow! I never thought I would be able to understand hacking, let alone do it myself. Actually Hacking is nothing but breaking into someone else computer or system by circumventing the safety measures and stealing the information contained on it.This is an absolute necessity read on the off chance that you are throughout the day on your PC, particularly on the off chance that you depend on it and want to stay safe on the internet. So hacking is not only for the damage to other but also for the safety for you.As the book contains the basics of hacking, it can be taken.

Disappointed
I was a bit shocked at how many five star reviews this book received. Firstly, this book is riddled with so many spelling errors that it seems like a published rough draft. Second, this book is extremely short and equally shallow. It really doesn't have much to do with hacking at all, it simply states the nomenclature for different types of hackers and provides some examples of previous attacks. If you're looking for an actual introductory hacking book, pass this one up. I am saddened by how fake reviews are so commonplace now.

Very basic explanation on terms and hacking.
Just received this book and did a quick and rapid scan. The book provides information somewhere between complete noob to novice when it comes to hackers, and computers and the internet of things. If you grew up around and in computers then you probably know more than this book will tell you.-or-If your not so computer-wise it wouldn't be a bad idea to get this book and get some basic ideas on terminology and keeping your computer somewhat safe. (If your like my mom who never updates, changes passwords, or does scans.)This book received 3 stars because I expected more precise and in-depth technical explanations. The headline was slightly misleading as well, this book does not tell or even touch the subject of hacking for personal use. I also found some things that were outdated, even for 2015.Overall, this book is a very basic explanation on what hacking is and all the crazy terminology that surrounds it.

OMG! What a POS! Do not waste your time or money
Wow, what a terribly written book. If I could give 0 stars, I would. It appears that this person Isaac Sharpe, felt a sudden need to write a book and so sat down one day and in an inspired flurry, wrote down everything he could remember from the seminar he just took. Or something equivalent to that, because for example, there are so many typos and so many grammar mistakes that it is obvious no one read it a 2nd time before going to the printer. Even worse, there does not appear to be a Technical Editor involved at all. So nobody to fact-check or even double check some of Isaac's reasoning. For example, open the back cover to the headline, something akin to "Free Video on YouTube shoe this tactic," or something like that. He wants to "shoe" it to us? Obviously they meant "show" it to us, but when you're too lazy to even correct that, you know the rest of the book is worthless.

A must have for Beginners
This book is suitable for beginners. This book is a very interesting and informative read for beginners. I want to secure myself from being hacked. The book guides me on the basics of hacking. The book will not make you a hacker but it provides a great overview of what hacking is all about. It serves as a nice introduction to hacking introducing you to the different kinds of hacking that you can perform. It has a lot of information that a person needs to be more knowledgeable about Hacking and it will teach you how to be aware if you’re experiencing a virus attack or malware attack. I learned some very good basics from this book. This book is good for those who wants to start hacking. Recommended reading for all computer owners/users.

Good complementary book.
A few months ago I started my journey into de Hacking world. I have a cousin who works as a programmer, and he is teaching me some of the basic stuff about Hacking, and how to be make a good barrier against cyber pirates. To complete and complement my learning process, I’m doing some research on my own, and books have always been a good source of information (much more if they are digital).I have read 1 or 2 books about this subject, and all of them have been helpful. So, when I saw this book at a great discount price I didn’t have doubts to buy it. It is a very clear and concise book, and it has made me understand some terms that I didn’t have very clear at the beginning.

Very useful and informative book
To those who want to improve their knowledge, I recommend this book to all the folks who want to know how hacking goes, and to those who want to improve their security systems. A great book to start working on my programming and computing classes! I bought this book to review key information regarding hacking, and I am shocked on how many aspects I have to take into account to hack or to protect my own computer. The book is well-structured in terms to be understood for beginners and with examples during the process of hacking, I also learned about basic components such as types of viruses, background and more relevant facts about hacking.
