An improvement over the camera's built-in mic
I've been using my Canon EOS70D to make some semi-pro videos of a speaker making a presentation, for use in this "covid" time, i.e., not in front of a live audience. I originally was recording the sound using a professional mic and recorder, but synchronizing the sound with the video was wasting a lot of my time. I figured that adding an external mic to the camera might solve the problem. Sadly, it did not, but it lead me to investigate further just what the camera's external audio input could do. What I discovered is that the camera really isn't capable of pro-quality sound recording: I fed it a signal from the output of my mic amplifier, using my good mic, and no matter how I adjusted the audio level going into the camera, the result left me wanting more/better.That preamble is important, because it tells you that I really can't evaluate just the mic here. I haven't been able to connect it to my good mic amplifier and test it that way, but my impression is that it's not as directional as I'd like for this application, so it picked up extraneous noises more than I expected. It also didn't have as much audio output as I'd have liked to feed the 70D directly, even in the +20dB amplified position, at the distance from the speaker as we're wanting to position the camera. One problem with using the internal mic when continuous autofocus is on, is that in the recording you hear the autofocus motor. Using this mic did help that a lot. Yes...you can turn off the autofocus, but I really didn't want to.So...this review is more about the difficulties with the system, than with the mic itself. Just be aware that simply adding an external mic like this to your camera setup may not give you the performance you're looking for.

best for close up audio
If you are doing a blog or close recording it works perfectly. I needed a Zoom mic that would work from about 25 feet away and this had good reviews for close up but in practice as a zoom mic, the audio was terrible.

working condition and the parts are complete .
This Product came in very late and when I received it , It was missing the battery cover .I would not recommend this , I will try to see how it works .It is not even worth me returning it. I would never buy this again from this company.

Works well as far as I can tell
Sometimes the audio is a little quiet but I adjusted my camera settings so we’ll see if that helps. Also, unfortunately, there’s no way to tell if the battery is dead or not, so I’ve just been switching it out periodically and hoping for the best.

Crispy Sound and Quality!
Soo I bought this mic to start a small hobby during quarantine. I started to get into videography recently and audio Is always the biggest thing for me, I cant stand a video with bad audio. Im always looking for bang for buck products when I shop and this microphone was definitely one. For the price, theres great audio quality and I love that its very portable. I didn’t want a very obnoxiously big microphone to get so much attention when I’m filming. As a beginner I found it very easy to set up and understand how to use. Also something that competitors don’t have is an included deadcat for blocking out wind noises. I started shooting vlogs with this mic and my camera, and it completely changed my overall production. Compared to the original camera microphone, this is a HUGE difference. I also love the fact that there is a green light on the side that helps you know when your mic is recording. I’ve had friends have problems not turning on their battery powered microphones and I love that I’ll always know when mine is on and plugged in. Not to mention it doesn’t require a battery! Thanks for this product, I plan on using it for LONG time! A+ Crisp Quality!!

Great quality for a Fair price
The media could not be loaded. The mic seems to be well made and produces fair quality audio. I really like the mic and it will be a permanent addition to my bag. Read below for some more detailed thoughts.*Pro's*-Size is just right for a 5600 Nikon. Not to small and not so large it dwarfs the camera.-Audio quality is much better than I would have anticipated from a mic at this price range.-Connected to the camera easily and the plug has a long enough cord to connect to the camera without having the awkward extra wire catching on everything.-Sliding the Fuzzy cover is easy. Neither cover came loose or slipped during the time that I have used them.*Con's*So far I have not found anything about this microphone that I do not like. If I find something, I will update this review.I have attached a short clip below. Anyone that has ever tried to capture exhaust clips knows how hard it is to get any decent audio. The clip will show how well this mic captures the decibels and doesn't get drowned out. **CAUTION** The exhaust in the video IS loud.
