Nitram 700306 Abrasive Stone for Charcoal

Nice to have but not a necessity if you can get something cheaper. The quality is good. It looks really nice. It comes with extra pads, too, which you can buy separately if you ran out. Since I hardly do charcoal drawing, this will last me a long time.

They are perfect for sharpening the nitram stick when you need to. You can use cheaper but I can’t see a reason why to give up the convenience of this for a home made solution. Try the nitram sticks they are very cool to work with. To see them in use go to you tube and look it up under nitram and watch Cesar Santos. He has amazing videos to watch using these.

I just barely took a figure drawing class over the summer and one of my pet-peeves with charcoal was keeping a sharp tip. This thing provides adequate space for you to get really nice tips on your charcoal.

Although a bit on the expensive side it is ideally suite for sharpening graphite and carbon pencils as well as charcoal sticks. I keep it on the side and use the charcoal coal powder sparingly to tone my drawings

This was just what I was looking for. So glad I got it. Love using it for a fine point to my drawing pencils.

Decent but its not "abrasive stone" as advertised.Its sand paper stuck on wood. Just buy a pack of sand paper instead for cheaper price and a lot more. (Definitely returning)

Worksreally well, I currenntly use nitram charcoal so. I can't state whether its as good with charcoal from other brands yet. 2 extra blacksandstone patches are included in the package.

C’est un bon produit, de bonne fabrication. Il est livré avec des surfaces abrasives de rechange. Permet de récupérer et réutiliser la poudre de charbon taillé dessus. Bref, c’est le genre de produit dont il est difficile de regretter l’achat.

I hesitated and dithered on buying this for nearly 2 years of using Nitram charcoal. I’ve previously used the cheaper, basic sanding blocks for artists. This is by far superior and give a precision level sharpness in seconds. It’s double sided, with 2 levels of coarseness. You get 2 spare pads so really good value. I should have bought this 2 years ago!. Don’t hesitate if you can afford it. You won’t regret it.
