A Great Successor to the S1R
As I already have a few Olight torches including the older S1R I that have performed very well I purchased the MK II version. The new version has an integrated lens around the light source where the original didn't although I've had no issues with the original S1R.The new model is slightly shorter but also has the new more versatile clip that can hang on to longer edges in both forward and backward mountings but the big difference for me is the battery level indication. The body also has a better grip texture not that the original was bad, it's just improved somewhat. It maintains the magnetic charge base of the original and the same (to me anyway) cap charge lead.As for brightness, yes it is very impressive but for my general use it's on medium or lower power 99% of the time. So far battery life is at least as good as the original that was more than good enough for me.In summary, should you upgrade from the original? well that depends. I use mine quite a lot (I have a few) and have no problems at all with the original that I will continue to use so for me the addition of the S1R mkII makes sense. If you have the original and only use it from time to time I'd consider sticking with the original as that is a brilliant item that stands on it's own as a great EDC torch, the new one may be better in some respects but it does not make the original any worse than it was when originally released.Pros:The new mounting clip. A big improvement on the original not that that was bad,Battery level indicatorSlightly shorter length (this could also be a con as this is a small light to start with, depends what you use it for I guess)Integrated lens offers light source protection (I've not had any problems with the original so far without it on the S1R but definitely looks to offer better protection of the LED)Improved grip, definitely a plus, I never had an issue with the S1R bu the MK II is better for me.Olight support, from my experience this has been very good indeed on the rare occasions that I have needed help it has been very good.Cons:Like it's predecessor it's not cheap but in my humble opinion is well worth it.

Love it!
I never thought I could speak so passionately about something like a torch but I love this little piece of kit.Firstly it looks great, especially in the Desert colour and the build quality is second to none; I dropped it by accident while trying to juggle too many things at once onto a solid wood floor and it was absolutely fine. In terms of the actual brightness it's absolute sorcery how something so little can put out so much light, the settings are great as well especially moonlight mode when trying to keep a low profile. Battery life so far seems great, I've only charged it once since it arrived a few weeks ago and it's still going strong after almost daily use albeit in short bursts. It is on the pricey side for sure and I did hesitate parting with my money on it, however after owning it for a little while and using daily I don't regret the spend, it's a perfect little addition to the EDC.

Ideal EDC Torch
This torch is both surprisingly small AND surprisingly bright. This makes it (for me) the perfect EDC light. It slips into your pocket almost unnoticed but provides a choice of five different levels of light from very dim to a shocking 1000 lumens on turbo. Obviously the little battery is not going to last for long at the brightest settings but it can give you a couple of minutes at full power before stepping down to something more sustainable. Highly recommended.

Lovely little torch
This torch is awesome. It does so much for the size it's got. Great colours, great materials and very well built. It's a great addition to our flashlight collection. We're always satisfied with an Olight purchase.

Small compact bright
Use it for deliveries, when its dark its hard to see door number lol. However this little beast is spot on. Dropped it out my window at 25mph too 🙄 still works a treat and not a mark on it (surprisingly)

Well Made
Did I really want to spend £50 on a small torch? Not really, and regretted it as soon as the money was paid BUT so glad I did. Its a lovely thing to own, played around with it for several hours and that's without turning it on lol. Take it apart on receipt and remove the battery slip otherwise you could waste a few hours charging it to no avail like I did. Not the easiest to figure out how to change the lighting intensity but will enjoy messing around with it.
