Garmin Instinct - Tactical Edition Rugged GPS Watch - Black

I was unsure about this watch on first viewing. It had an old LCD screen, no touch screen etc. However, the more I used it the more I liked it and realised that I didn't want/need a touch screen or colour display etc. Its primary job is to track my heart rate, gym sessions and steps/pace etc and it does all of these brilliantly and accurately and uploads to my phone for me to delve into the stats at a later time. The fact that it also has GPS, Tactical mode, Parachute jump Altitude mode (not sure i can test this one!), compass, map track back, record your location, altitude, temperature, read phone messages, control phone music, sunrise/sunset, moon rise/set, as well as the usual stopwatch, alarms etc. My personnel favourite feature that I never knew I wanted is the locate my phone whereby up on pressing makes your phone ring!! I think it will take a while to fully understand all the features but so far to me, I think its money well spent. If you leave on the GPS tracking I get about 2 weeks before I need to recharge. On the plus side it only takes about an hour to charge fully. A fantastic Fitness tracking watch, buy one now!

I've had the Garmin Instinct GPS watch for a few months now and have been impressed with it. It is a very rugged smart watch that can withstand knocks and bumps no problems. More importantly, it provides all the useful information required for keeping track of your sports performance e.g. pace, distance, average speed, elevation, etc. The battery life on this watch is also very impressive, depending on your usage of watch. If it is used as a standard watch the battery can easily last over a week on a full charge. Compared to other GPS watches the battery also lasts a very long time with the GPS functioning. I used the GPS to track my cross-country skiing performance for 12hrs in -5c temperatures and it still had battery remaining at the end. Having physical buttons to press is also more practical when wearing gloves than a touch screen, although I did find that the buttons were pressed once or twice by movement of my gloves during skiing; which was a little annoying. However, on the whole I have been very happy with this watch and would recommend this watch for anyone looking for a solid GPS watch with good measurements.

Great watch, battery life lasts about two weeks when not used for tracking. Tracks accurately and acquires gps quickly, and being able to use grid coordinates on OS maps is also very handy. Very light on your wrist as well, even when running you can barely tell its on. It does what it does well, however the menus and settings are a pain to use until you get used to them, and even then are still slow to work your way around. Ok once you figure them out, and that's the only slight downside to this watch, five stars

Great sports / Military watch, accurate nav and dist measurements

This is the perfect military style watch with fast connection speed easy set up and a high calibre screen the watch has great GPS performance and bangs out precision grids unfortunately no touchscreen however easy to use buttons and tough long lasting casing

I have been using the original Forunner 305 for a long long time and wanted to upgrade. This is such a delight to use when running or cycling etc. which is why I purchased it. I usually wear a a G-shock and this is not dissimilar in size. Certainly much much smaller and lighter than the 305 but still with lots of features. I did not plan on wearing it for general use but surprisingly I really like the notifications especially the calender reminders and I keep it on much of the time. It syncs seamlessly with Google android and I find the phone app is straight forward to use. It has been lasting 10 days between charges rather than the few hours that the 305 managed. Worth noting that this is the second one I ordered. Alarmingly, the first delivery was an empty box. Amazon did not seem concerned and just sent another!

This watch is the best! The features for tracking stress, sleep and body battery have been really helpful in managing my day to day fight with PTSD. The body battery is an interesting concept that helps me plan my days based on my energy reserves and checking them against how I am actually feeling. It is surprisingly accurate. Sooo many more great features! Love that it is not metal, but rather a very light weight, non metal case. Im allergic to nickel so that takes the worry out of it. Really wish the Solar Tactical was available when I ordered it... this one is good but I seem to have to plug it in once a week to recharge it. After having higher end watches that recharge on kinetic motion or sunlight I liked not having to charge my watches or replace batteries. But I wanted to try my first garmin watch and decided to go with the non solar to see if I liked it. I Doo!!

Su GPS proporciona y permite registrar las coordenadas geográficas y UTM, registra y permite salvar las rutas en caminatas, corriendo, en bicicleta e incluso en coche. Mide la frecuencia cardíaca, los pasos, la velocidad, la cadencia, el ascenso y el descenso, las calorías consumidas, el nivel de estrés y permite ver toda la información de cada ruta realizada. Da las horas de salida y puesta del sol y la luna con la fase lunar. Registra la altitud, la presión barométrica, la temperatura y la frecuencia cardíaca, pudiendo ver los gráficos de las últimas horas de todas ellas. Tiene dos modos de brújula. Además todas las pantallas y funciones son totalmente configurables. Y es totalmente estanco al agua. El mejor.

Garmin express et Garmin Explore sur le smartphone en font une machine de guerre. - pour un prix bien inférieur, offre dans l'absolu les mêmes services qu'une Garmin Fenix Points négatifs : - Pas forcément esthétique en costume 3 pièces, mais pourquoi pas ? - Positionnement GPS assez énergivore - à voir avec le temps Edit : après presque un an d'utilisation quotidienne. - montre portée sur différents chantiers, pas une seule rayure sur le boitier - cadran toujours protégé par un verre de protection, donc comme neuf - aucune mauvaise surprise, à part quelques bugs parfois avec des appels reçus dont la notification reste affichée (montre trop loin du téléphone au moment de l'appel) - autonomie inchangée : un peu plus d'une semaine sans utilisation du GPS Je recommande toujours autant.
