Why is these book so important
The book, that I've read and bought at Amazon, was recomended at internet site of Mind tools Club. At first view, that I became et these site, I took this book at Kindle and it's, accordingly to my oppinion, one of most aplicable book's I've read. Why? As Professor at Law Faculty in Maribor, Slovenia, our Faculty offers to young people and professionals a aplicable study of bussines law, and these book is one of exellent rewiews of practical life in busines at special field - when some country, or enterprise or univeristy economicaly and ethicaly collapsed - why - because they overlooked, as Mrs. Jennings said, "the bright line between right and wrong". These book ofers also chanse to recognize and after recogniton a possibility to avoid collapse.I will recomend it to our students, at these academic year as option, at next academic year as obligatory literature for study.

Explains Today's World Well
Core to what's happened to America of late. Dr. Jennings is a wise woman. Had her for a professor back in the 80s. Even wiser today.

Good content poorly written
Good collection of material and valuable analysis. Writing is sloppy, full of cliches. The tone snarky and self-righteous. That weakens the credibility.

the book does hammer home what the "management quality" red flags look like and why they should cause an investor to pause
While the examples are dated and among the biggest scandals in corporate history, the book does hammer home what the "management quality" red flags look like and why they should cause an investor to pause.

Useful for short selling and those who wish to qualitatively assess the risk of their portfolio.
As an amateur short seller I found this book very helpful. Specifically the qualitative side of short selling. the best part about it is most of the information discussed can be found or at least inferred from publically available information.Ah the study of human folly is interesting. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because it was not engaging enough to receive five stars. Dead Companies Walking is definitely worth five stars could not put the book down.
