At first glance my son thought this was a book for girls, but I left the set in his room anyway. I noticed within a day he was already reading them and by the end of the week he had read the first two in the series. He's 12 and has dyslexia and finds graphic novels the easiest to read and comprehend. I read half of the first book and found it interesting enough as it dives into how to handle uncomfortable conversations and overcome being shy all while navigating Middle School. My 9yo also started reading the series and finds it funny too.

My daughter has dyslexia and loves graphic novels, so this series is a huge win. More than that, she really relates to the characters and sometimes tells me about wanting a friendship like so and so in the book. I highly recommend this for adolescents navigating the choppy waters of middle school.

My daughter wanted the set for Christmas. She is enjoying it. She really likes the diary, where she can write on it.

Such charming and lovely little stories. Full of wholesome humour as well as pretty complex character interactions. Obviously written for young adults, but highly recommend for all ages.

Makes my daughter want to shift from screens to reading!

For me this set is a kind of cheating as it is not clearly indicated it is 2 comics books and one diary. And when you look at the description, it is indicated 888 pages. That counts the empty pages of the diary. Common... The 2 comics book are good though and my daughter enjoyed the diary. But it should be clearer. So be aware as the full price is very high for 2 books and one diary. Fortunately I got a very high discount else it does not worth the price.

My 11 year old has read these books several times she loves to read and has read 100s of different authors books, but these by far are her favourite
