Very well Made! Easy to setup! Dependable!
These units work very well and are very easy to setup to your needs. I use 4 units in different locations. One unit controls 3 small greenhouses heating sys by plugging in a quad receptacle to the heating outlet on the unit. and then running extension cords to the different greenhouses. the temp sensor has a nice log lead so you can locate the sensor easily wherever you need it. Only consideration is you must resist the temptation to "over" amp the draw on the unit. Still 1050 watts gives you a lot of output from the unit. It is the goto unit to control heating units, or cooling fans. very dependable and very well made. Inkbird is a solid build! I have 9 other Inkbird controllers of different types controlling different type units. Only unit failure was a direct lightning strike!

Meets Expectations and More!
I am very pleased with the performance of this Digital Temperature Controller. In fact I bought two of them. I have used it to control the temperature of Kombucha, Spirulina, and several other items. It can control 1200 watts at 110 Volts. That means you can plug a standard chest freezer or refrigerator into the device and control its temperature to be something other than normal appliance operating temps. I have also used this to sound an alarm when cooking temperatures get to a specific number. Works great when trying to optimize Sulforaphane in broccoli! After you get used to setting the unit, it becomes easy to do. Just hold the set button for 3 seconds to get into the programming mode. Then scroll through the options. When done, hold the set button for another 3 seconds to lock in the program. No need to scroll through all the options. The main function you might use would be the TS which is Temperature set value. HD and CD which is how many degrees difference you want to allow between the set value and the actual value. (Usually only a degree or two) You will also want to set AH and AL which will activate an alarm if your temperature gets too high or low. There is a helpful indicator light that will show you if the unit is in heating or cooling mode. When in heating mode the unit will apply current to the 120 V “heat connector”. When in cooling mode the “Cooling” connector will be energized. The connectors are standard 120 V receptacles. My experience is, this unit is very reliable and keeps the temperature of your project very close to the temperature you set. I would not hesitate to buy it again or recommend it to a friend. In fact, I did recommend it to a friend. He wanted an alarm to sound when his deep freezer fails to keep his frozen items at the desired temperature! Works great for him, he loves it too! I have no conflict of interest in writing this review. I am just a happy customer and I am happy to report that I was able to resolve a minor issue with the seller and found them to be very supportive and professional.

Excellent Devices! Very Satisfied!
After having done some careful research, I bought two of these devices here on Amazon for use in controlling the heaters in a smallish insulated outdoor building (an Amish barn style shed used as a workshop). They both work great in the intended application, and, best of all, setup is easy, straightforward and quick; you only need to spend about two minutes reading the instruction manual before becoming a pro in configuring the various settings that you might wish to tinker with. And now, a few notes about the device, some of which are in response to comments made here by other reviewers: Setup of the device is easy once you have spent two minutes reading the instructions. However, as is true of the vast majority of instruction/user manuals that accompany devices such as this that are made in China, the printed instruction/user manual provided with the device is nearly useless, due to the fact that it is so small in size and consequently the print font is very tiny and difficult to read. So, I did not even bother to try deciphering the nearly-impossible to read user manual that came with the device, and rather, I went online and found the InkBird website, at http://ink-bird.com, and then quickly located the downloadable manual for this device in PDF file format, at http://ink-bird.com/asset/file/ITC-308%20V2.1%20EN.pdf , downloaded it, and printed the three most important pages to me out of the six pages in the manual. The cord on the remote temperature sensor is a bit over 6 feet long; I provide this information because others have asked about the length of the cord on the temperature probe. Although one or two other reviewers have stated that they feel that the temperature display of this device reads about 1 degree C too high (compared to reliable & accurate thermometers), this has not been my experience. I have found the temperature calibration of this device to be very accurate; it is totally in agreement with my other digital thermometers. Please be aware that while the ambient temperature display shows temperature in 0.1 degree (F or C) increments, as does the Set/Target Temperature display, the Set (i.e., target) temperature can only be set in one degree integer increments. So, you can select a Set temperature of 90.0 degrees, or 91.0 degrees, but you cannot select a Set temperature of 90.4 degrees. These units work great, the displays and thermostatic function are very accurate, and the units are very reliable. I would buy more for other applications in a second if any such need arose.

I've been on the hunt for a simple IFTTT controllable 10A outlet with a built-in temperature sensor, that is able to send threshold alarms and enable / disable the outlet. I have not found a solution for anywhere near the price of this unit. Simple and easy to use, take a look on YouTube for a video example: it will take you 2-3 minutes to set this up to do whatever it is you need. In my case, I built a highly insulated shed that needs a 500W heater turned on 1-4 times per day (based on the outdoor temperature / overall heatloss!) for 1 hour to keep the contents above 8°C. This little unit works perfectly! The unit did need temperature calibration out of the box, it was reading exactly 1.0°C high, but the unit allows easy compensation to read accurately. The thermocouple does have quite a bit of thermal mass bonded to it, in my use case that's fine: I want the mass of the sensor to lag the actual air temperature by a few seconds / minutes to help average out the indoor space temp. Overall 10/10: perfect little heating controller for light loads; I would not personally run a heating load all the way up to 10A on this unit, it just doesn't have the mass to support such a claim. I'm sure it can _technically_ do 10A for short periods, but to prevent any risks or issues, I'd absolutely keep the load under 6-7A resistive loads max. If you're trying to run a (not remotely rated for!) 120VAC 1.5kW heater on this thing: you're going to melt it for sure.

I ordered 2 of the Inkbird controllers to use on my reef aquariums. The controllers are solidly built. The controllers are easy to set up, with many options available. You have the option to set a maximum and minimum temperature which safeguards your aquariums from temps dropping below or going above acceptable limits. There is also an option for using this model with a chiller for those in very hot climates. It has two plugs, one for a chiller and one for a heater which is perfect for environments where both are required. The product has an alarm to signal you that the temperature within your aquarium has either dropped or risen above your set limits. This alarm works very well, I have had mine go off during a waterchange when my probe has come out of water and exposed to ambient temperature. The controller has kept both aquarium temperatures stable and accurate. My only complaint regarding the unit is that the probe is stainless steel rather than coated in a material that definitely will not rust with water exposure. Neither of my units have had their probes rust as of yet. I highly recommend this item and the price can't be beat!
