The kit arrived and showed signs of being previously opened, or rather, removed from it's original packaging and zip ties. I've typically seen this with discounted used Amazon warehouse items, although it was sold as "New." That said, the tool and chain looked ok, so I continued to use them.10-15 minutes later and I had the chain sized and installed. Seems to be working well thus far, but temperatures have dropped significantly so I've had less opportunity to stress test.The chain and tool seem to have worked for their purpose, but the initial questionable packaging arrival caused me a bit of hesitation and hence -1 star.

The chain was good quality, but the chain tool was a piece of crap. Save yourself some frustration and buy a separate chain and a decent tool. Also, this “ kit” was supposed to come with some spare links, but none were included.I tried to contact the seller but got no response.

The chain was easy to install and the only tool needed for the install was the tool provided with the kit. I just took the bike for a ride after I put this chain on. It worked fine. It’s a good deal for the price. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it didn’t come with the spare links pictured in the ad.

Affordable and effective repair kit. The chain is great so far. The press on the chain breaker tool is slightly loose, and you have to be careful when turning the spindle into the chain link because the looseness may cause the spindle to be a bit crooked. As long as you're holding it properly and making sure it's straight when it connects with the pin, it works fine. Very happy with this purchase--an affordable fix for my bike.

The tool works well enough, but the chain is looooousy. I'm glad it came with 4 master links, because I ended up using all of them to replace links that were so poorly made that every other trick in the book couldn't get them to be any less stiff.I don't expect it to last long, hopefully it doesn't break before my new chain comes in.Save the trouble, but a name brand chain.

I had an old bike that the chain kept coming off. One of the links was bad. New chain went right on and fixed the problem. Action smooth and reliable now.

This kit comes with everything you need to change the chain on your bike, and change chains in the future. As an absolute beginner installing a bike chain for the first time, the instant/snap-on links were a little tricky for me and I had to watch a tutorial online to figure out how to install it. The chain breaker is easy to use, and I'm happy I have it in my bike kit now!My pack included gold colored snap-on links, which I really liked as it makes it easier to see them for removal later on when you want to switch out the chain.I used this chain on a vintage 5 speed Raleigh Sprite 27 and I've been riding has been smooth since. I got this chain to replace my rusty one. It was easy to install and it seems to be working fine. I didn’t receive the magic buckles pictured in the image which was largely disappointing since I was expecting to have a quick release chain.
