Bargain Soundbar
Just received my Bowfell soundbar this morning, hats off to Amazon Prime for getting it to me in 12 hours. Setup was simple, I'm using it i'm my bedroom to improve the TV sound quality of my 32" Toshiba flatscreen which as standard is pretty thin sounding with no bass. I'm also using it for music from my iMac via optical digital. For the size and price I think the sound quality is excellent and although at a lower level it produces a surprisingly decent amount of bass, midrange and HF are more than acceptable. There are some minor caveats though, first there is no consistency of volume inasmuch as if you switch between different inputs the volume levels are vastly different so it pays to have the remote to hand if it's too loud. Also the remote appears to share frequencies with my TV remote and if you adjust the volume on the soundbar it will switch on the TV, so I've had to resort to putting something in front of the remote sensor on the TV to avoid it happening. I also noticed when playing back via optical from my iMac if I'm playing a CD with gapless playback such as Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd where the tracks blend the music is muted briefly and then takes a few seconds to ramp back up to the proper volume, I could get round this by using the iMacs headphones output into the aux input on the soundbar but I want to use that for the TV sound. Streaming the same album from Amazon Music via Bluetooth also gets rid of the issue, the Bluetooth sound quality is also very good and doesn't appear to lose any quality compared to the other inputs. One feature that it doesn't have which I would have liked is for it to power down when there hasn't been an input signal for a while, very useful as I listen to music before going to sleep. Overall for the £37 that I paid for it I would have to give the Majority Bowfell soundbar a 5* rating. Edit: On checking a little deeper into the instruction manual it appears the Bowfell does have an auto powering down feature although unlike some other audio equipment I own which powers down in about 20 minutes with no input signal, the Bowfell takes 3 hours to power down which is a little excessive but better than staying powered up..

Good device for money and very pleased overall
Easy to setup, and sound good enough for most people whom are just trying to boost output from watching TV and computer. Connectivity very good for price but i do miss the HDMI and would pay a bit extra for that facility. But i have set it up with Optical and with plugged into TV microphone and both worked great as long as you remember to use remote to up and down sound. Different colour lights indicate what connection you are connecting through. Couldn't get aux cable enclosed to work but might be me or my old Sony TV. Bluetooth worked when i connected my laptop and played some tracks from You tube and MP3 on computer. Weighty but small in size and easy to keep cables relatively hidden if TV on furniture. Couldn't get Bluetooth headphones to work so assuming you have to pass sound to speaker and not pass TV or other input sound from speaker to them, didn't expect this to work for the price but tried it anyway. Also there are buttons on side of device should remote not work or you temporarily run out of batteries. Had to buy Pipestation optical cable as this is not supplied. These two fitted worked well together. We feel this device looks good, sounds good for what we want and does not dominate the living room. Only minus is i do miss the HDMI. Good product for the price point and overall we are pleased with it. Sorry i forgot to mention there is a USB connection as well. Played with it a bit more and found you can control volume with TV control if you have it plugged into TV Microphone socket (Green light on). Also in considering what you are getting for the money i would have liked to have given it 4.5 stars or 9 out of ten if Amazon allowed this scale.

An Excellent Budget Soundbar, Majority Does It Again With The Bowfell...
I needed a small, compact soundbar for my PS5 setup. I have owned one of these before, so it was a no-brainer, really. Plenty of connection options, including Aux (cable included), Optical (no cable provided) and Bluetooth. The soundbar looks a lot more premium than its price tag would suggest and comes with a remote. The sound is not very bass-heavy but is nicely balanced and very clear. A big improvement over the built-in speakers in my gaming monitor (a 27" Iiyama G-Master, see image). Highly recommended.

Great sound, great price
This Bowfell sound bar is for a portable cd player whose sound is poor. I wasn't sure if the sound quality would be what I was looking for but thought it would be worth a try. WOW the soundbar is brilliant, easy to set up and good sound quality. We've also tried it with our tv and although we thought we would never want a soundbar on our tv we have now changed our minds & will be ordering a Snowden2 sometime soon. Wish I'd thought about purchasing this a lot sooner.

Compact size. Decent sound quality
Compact size makes it perfect for use in our bedroom when connected to the projector via Bluetooth. Definitely recommend if you want decent sound in a smaller space
