I'm 2 weeks post hysterectomy surgery and this item has been a great thing as makes going to the toilet painless and quick. I'll continue to use this as I can see the benefits of it. Fits snug so doesn't get in the way.

I did a lot of research on the benefits of squatting to poop, having started incorporating the "Asian Squat," into my daily life, a number of years ago. I also did a lot of research on the various "Squatting Aids," available, some of which were very, very expensive. So, in the end, I went for the best known option, The Squatty Potty, which I purchased. However, when I tried it, it didn't "feel" like proper squatting and didn't seem to work Not only that, but the way I was forced to sit on the toilet was very uncomfortable, as the sharp, inner edge of the toilet seat dug quite painfully into my rear! I therefore sent it back and resolved to squat on the toilet rim, which I've been doing for years, in spite of the fact that many people (and I agree with them) warned/advised that it might, not only be precarious, but potentially dangerous to do! I decided to revisit the squatting aid option again, as I'm not getting any younger, but decided to avoid the Squatty Potty. I therefore happened upon the HOCA Toilet Stool, which seemed to come with a lot of recommendations and "medical" endorsements. So, took plunge and ordered one. The first few days of use, took some getting used to, placing the stool at the correct distance from the toilet. I haven't experienced anything close to the discomfort I felt with the Squatty Potty, although to be fair, it might be that I've had a new toilet/toilet seat fitted, in the past year and the inner edge of the toilet seat may not be as sharp as the previous toilet/toilet seat. Either way, the HOCA fits neatly under the toilet, until needed and I have to be honest, it appears to "work," and perform its function really well! 😉😉 That, and I feel much more secure and comfortable using it. Therefore, I can thoroughly recommend this product!

Really good for assisting with poo due to constipation and piles

Once you get past your embarrassment about ordering yourself a Squat Pot ( which comes in a sealed Amazon Box) this version is very sturdy, fits neatly tucked in around the base of the toilet pan with a bit sticking out but nothing to trip you up and is very sturdy. Have yet to try it out but did the research online so know it'll work fine and it's good for our health . May hide it when we have visitors to stay to avoid explaining about healthy pooing but otherwise a great purchase.

This is the 2nd one i have ordered (for a separate room). These stools are fantastic. Without, i could be waiting an hour to 'go', using the stool changes this to 5 minutes. Absolutely worth the money. Family members have bought their own after experiencing ours. Dont hesitate to buy! (All stool puns intended).

This is a sturdy item that fits neatly around the toilet bowl. I have no issue with the quality and use it daily. However... EVERYONE is DIFFERENT and I have tested with a ~21cm "FLAT stool" and the results, for ME, are noticeably different, i.e. BETTER. I am (approximately) 6'2" (188cm) and toilet is standard. This item is 21cm (8.3") in HEIGHT at the BACK and slopes to 19cm (7.5") at the FRONT. I highlight this as I PERSONALLY have found that this is approximately 2cm (0.75") TOO high for me on MY toilet OR the angle of incline does not work for ME OR it may be a combination. I will probably replace this stool at a later date IF I come across a real DEAL on a STURDY 21cm high stool that does not have an incline from back to front.

nothing wrong with the actual product but i did find a bit akward to use, might be because i am not very flexible or because i am shorter then the intended user, but i found the position very unatural and uncomfortable. Cleaning was straightward and there was no assembility required. Product was bulkier then expected, partly due to the width or the neck area being narrower then the base of our toilet, so i would recommend checking that before ordering.
