Conext Gateway - Solar and Storage System Configuration and Monitoring (865-0329)

The gateway is working ok. I can now see what the solar system is doing on my phone using insight cloud

It's a gateway, it connects the Schneider system to the internet. The original that was purchased with the system failed and turns out was MD'd when we bought it. This new version works but the Schneider interface is still pathetic.

I was advised to purchase this to configure my 6848 to single phase. I have a single phase generator. Every time I change the phase settings from split to single, a red box shows and it will not configure. I am now over 30 days and am now told I should have purchased a Conext Configuration Tool. Another $500.

The device works as advertised but getting it to work by the directions is extremely confusing. Have a USB flash drive handy to plug into the device. Wait for the second beep. Put flash drive into your computer as it is hooked up in series as described in literature. Then you can access the website with what is on the flash drive. Self explanatory after that

Had some issues with connectivity for some time. Now for about a week, I am using the latest FW recently released. Think it is 1.09 which now has solved all the issues I had. Even if I use the app now for looking at my data, it seems to run fine.

The product didn’t come with the 2 small antennas and still haven’t be able to get an answer back

No support from Schneider. They used to have a phone number to call, now it says no longer in service and sends you to a webpage. Basically has a combox but no iPhone app. Dished out $500 for this device, but it will not register. Says "Conext Gateway Serial number and URN (Unique Resource Name) not matching. Please try again with correct serial number and URN Note: Gateway serial number is associated with Gateway URN" this was copied and pasted from the device. Tried to call support, there is no number. Submitted a generic web inquiry, never heard back. So if you want support for your product good luck. Used to be you could get a live person, those days are gone.

Don’t buy it unless you’re a Schneider engineer. Couldn’t get it to integrate properly, far too many portals and parameters. Tried unsuccessfully to get Schneider tech support on the phone they would only email and give me the same instructions repeatedly. I had to return it. Avoid losing hours of your life that you won’t get back - don’t buy it.
