I replaced my original Thedford with this Dometic 311. Based on all my research and nearly 5 years of using the Thedford I think I've landed in a good place. Simpler maintenance and I think superior functionality. I'm a fulltime RVer, and I'm looking forward to enjoying this upgrade. UPDATE: After a few days of using this toilet I completely understand the positive reviews it gets. It's truly superior to my old Thedford. Better quality flushing, more like a standard home toilet, it does appear to use less water and more efficient. I would not have known how much I wanted the slow close lid until I had it. I did not think I could be this happy about a new toilet...

We replaced our Casita trailer OEM low quality, tacky-looking, tacky-sounding, bacteria breeding, plastic Thetford toilet with this high quality ceramic Dometic 311 Low Profile Round Toilet and we also added a 120VAC, residential, high quality Brondell Swash 1400 Round Toilet Bidet Seat which has a heated seat, blue night light and provides function rich control of endless toilet bidet seat warm water. Huge upgrade from Thetford toilet that came with 2022 Winnebago spirit 26t. Flushes all around top rim so cleans better and is quieter. Has soft close hinge and lid covers better than Thetford. No going back. Glad we got the low profile because of platform.

Toilet arrived at camping address on time but it had a small broken part in it and Amazon had the part available. So I proceeded with the intallation in my Moterhome. Next thing was to contact Camping World (CWDS) for getting the broken part ship to me. Nomally, you return the order back to sender, received a credit or expect a replacement, and it has to be at the same address. But for me, it was a big NO NO because the toilet was installed, the old was gone, and I was changing campgrouds on every 3 to 4 days. So, to make a long story short, after a week of email exchange between me and CWDS, they finaly credited me the value of the broken part, as sold at that time on amazon. My conclusion is that the system works very well for like for like exchanges. When you slightly go off road, the system works, but it takes way more time and discussions to come-up with an outcome that makes sense for the buyer. And thanks for the CWDS employee that help me in that matter. Without that person I would be a very frustated customer.

Perfect fit, easy install

The cover for the vacuum breaker was broken in shipment. Dometic promptly sent a replacement. This unit is quite similar to the Model 511 it replaced. Old mounting bolt slots (4) in the mounting ring did not align with the new bolt locations (2). Drilled the ring and used screw-down style bolts, which worked fine. The new plumbing connection is on the opposite side, so some additional plumbing adjustments were necessary. This was more difficult in my RV tiny room than mounting the toilet. All in all, a very nice replacement at a decent price.

Update, DO NOT BUY DOMETIC 311 toilet, This toilet is total ripoff. the flush ball is a morphdite that does not have a replacement part, so basically a 50 cent part requires total replacement when it breaks (and it will break) The original in the trailer broke and the replacement broke in the same shitty little part. I will not buy another pos with the Dometic name on it.

Perfect fit but I was surprised when it didn’t have the sprayer hose fitting which is a great feature.
