Does this actually control the motor? Like will this control one without an arduino and if so, what else is needed other than this and a nema motor?

You still need a driver board to output the correct current to the motor. This box allows you to control a stepper motor driver board and perform some basic motor functions like forward three revolutions at 3rpm, reverse, return to zero, etc. If you want an arduino to control the motor with complex routines you need to figure out how the driver board turns control signal pulses into steps in the motor. Then you need to program the arduino to send the proper pulses to the driver board.

How do the outputs on this correlate to a driver's Pulse, direction, and enable?

I purchased this unit to run a Z axis lift on my laser cutter. I can control speed direction and of course enable. The directions are a bit tough due to the translation but take your time and it will work, It was my first foray into controllers so I was very pleased! Hope this helps! Ray

What's the current draw for this controller? Will 2A be okay?

Can is control a servodrive-servimotor that is running fast? (10m/min), or it is only made for stepper motors slow speed?

It can controll anything with step dor input.
