Great pool cue rack for the price, not top quality, but a little modification makes it a great buy
So this rack is very cheap compared to any other one out there that I could find and, given some of the reviews I saw, I knew I might have to do a little work on it. I am perfectly fine with modifying things as I have the tools and skill (albeit limited). I should start with saying that I think the manufacturer fixed some of the issues others were having, I didn't see any dents or dings, and it came with bottom mount brackets as well as the ones on the top. I bought the black one and I did put a little chip in it, but a permanent marker fixed it right up. Otherwise, it's exactly what I would have expected to get and could have installed it without any issue using drywall anchors. All the pieces had pre-drilled holes and fit together as you would expect. There were instructions, but they were unnecessary.I prefer to hit the studs for things like this, especially since it's wider than 16", so I modified mine. I took off the two top brackets (which are basically just picture frame holders, see the pictures) and moved them out to 16" apart so I could hit two studs, and I also dropped them down to hide them behind the wood. It doesn't sit flush against the wall, but you cannot tell when it is hung up. I pre-drilled a small hole to avoid splitting (which other reviews discussed as an issue), so I didn't have to worry about it.I took some pictures, so hopefully it helps. The cue rests at the bottom are pretty poor quality, but I think this unit should get a little more credit than it was given based on the other reviews, so I went with 5 stars.

I'm underwhelmed
For $40 I didn't expect hand-carved mahogany but I thought I'd at least get something that would do the job. This rack is cheap. It's cheap wood that goes together weakly using cheap hardware. And the mounting design and hardware are a joke. This rack would still be overpriced at $15.

Don’t buy this one
This wall rack is hung on two picture hanger loops, only at the top of the frame. It doesn’t equip with the nessaary hardware to secure it at the bottom. It’s way too easy to pull the rack off the wall when you are removing the cue sticks.I should have paid more attention to those negative reviews before buying this item. Now I have to repair and repaint my drywall. It is such a frustrating experience. Will not recommend. Buyer be aware!

Professional looking rack, great value make sure you install it properly.
I purchased this item in order to have a place to store the balls, cue sticks, and chalk for my pool table. After installing the item with a few modifications, I am pleased to write that this was a great purchase. The rack looks great and has a deep mahogany color to it. The cut outs on the bottom shelf for the cues look great almost like cork. The item requires assembly however it is not too difficult if done correctly. If you are using a power tool to assemble I recommend setting the tool to a lower torque number such as 3 or 4 in order to avoid driving the screws in too deep and cracking the wood. As some other reviewers have stated here, I also recommend attaching the bottom edge to the wall so that the rack won’t move whenever you pull a cue stick out. I used bronze colored “Chair braces” which I found at Lowe's. Make sure you screw the chair braces into the wall in a stud or use drywall anchors. Additionally when attaching the chair brace to the bottom of the rack, use a self-tapping wood screw that is of the right length to avoid penetrating the wood. I have attached pictures so you can judge for yourself however I think it looks great.

Requires hardware, tools, paint, time & patience
Well, this could easily have been an awesome product; however, it become a frustrating experience. It arrived without hardware or pre-drilled holes. The wooden dowel or peg which holds the ball rack in the center of the frame was not included. Be very careful when drilling holes because the wood will split. You will also need to purchase and attach L-shaped braces to the bottom of the frame and wall for stabilization; otherwise, the frame pulls away from the wall every time a cue stick is removed. The frame came with useless picture hooks attached to the top for hanging it on the wall - such a silly idea! We removed them; drilled addition holes then screwed the frame to the wall with anchors. Now, you can begin filling in the screw holes and painting them. Don't forget to paint the metal L-shape braces to match the rack on one side and your wall color on the other. Isn't this fun?So, in conclusion, if you own a drill, have many shapes & sizes of screws, L-shaped braces, matching paint, much time & patience - this is the product for you! Now, I think I'll go out and find a small shrub limb to stick in the dowel hole so I can hang the ball rack. Good Grief!

Not bad, but a major flaw
Not bad, not bad at all. When buying this pool cue rack I was hesitant at the price point. Regardless, we took a shot and made the purchase. Upon arrival it was in a well packed box and needed to be assembled (too easy). Hanging was a breeze and the material looks gorgeous up on the wall. Here is my only issue with this cue rack (manufacturer take note and improve): There wasn't a bottom wall mount! After hanging the rack by the two top mounts I instinctively went to the base of the rack to mount the bottom anchor and to my surprise, this did not exist. Having little ones, one can expect that they will pull their smaller pull cues from the bottom of the stick, this then shifts the whole rack out from the wall (as the top mounts are on swivels). Until I modified the rack and put my own bottom mount and replaced the top mount system we stopped putting pull balls on the rack (one time my son pulled his stick and was almost pummeled by pool balls as the rack came away from the wall). Fix your mounting system and this rack would get a 5-star rating from me.

Nice Unit, great value
Bought this as didn't want too many holes in the wall and needed to give cues a safe storage home to avoid warping caused by leaning in a corner! The unit shipped from the USA and had a small amount of self assembly. The cost included shipping and all taxes so proved to be good value. It holds cues, balls and frame (if required). Very pleased.
