Good buy for cost & amount!
Nice and fresh! I bought these for myself and my pup. I ground them up for her and put in her food. Quality seems to be good!

For Roasting, These Seem Identical to Fresh Seeds
These seem great for what they are. Of course soul like year round access to fresh seeds. Only use for roasting, then snacking. Saw others stating these seem very different from fresh. I didn't see difference; however, I only roast a certain way. First step is to boil in salted water for 10 minutes. I believe this is essential. don't think the amount of salt matters too much. I've done to up to 2TBS in pan of water. I use enough water so seeds will have plenty of room to move while boiling. I believe this is the only way to get crisp, edible shells and seeds. I let mine dry on paper towels overnight. I've seen that you don't have to do that, just get most of water off before baking. I haven't tried that. I bake at 375F for around 10-15 minutes. I use convection bake for airflow, not sure how much that matters. But 375° convection is supposed to be hotter or cook faster than normal baking. I have seen recipes for low temp baking ~325, over longer time and being so careful because the seeds will burn before shells look roasted. I don't know if the boiling step helps with this too, but I find the higher temp works good for me. (so don't think the process is overly strict or restrictive) Shells browning, seeds not burned and I don't have to test a couple of seeds every minute. Also salt and drizzle with olive oil before baking. I rub olive oil on seeds with hands. Maybe that's good for better roasting too. Hope this helps anyone nervous about trying these seeds. Here's what I would like from these manufacturers: There is an heirloom pumpkin from North America/Mexico that is grown solely for the seeds, not the flesh. It's called, Silver Edge. Because the seed has a silver edge. They are bigger and have a nice thin shell for roasting/eating. The outside is a white, small pumpkin with green vertical stripes. I was buying for its looks when the farmer mentioned he grew these because he read they were grown for the seeds. Intrigued, I researched and bought several more before and after Halloween. They were special. I would think that companies selling pumpkin seeds, would/should sell Silver Edge pumpkin seeds along with these normal seeds.

Good
These are good pumpkin seeds. The only thing I dont like is you still needs to soak these before roasting them and the drying process can take a day or two. That being said you get a large amount of seeds that are fresh and good quality. If you have the patience for the drying process its a good purchase.

Delicious & NUT FREE
I bought these to make a healthy snack at home. My husband is SEVERELY allergic to all nuts and it's very hard to find healthy snacks that are NOT made in a facility that also processes nuts. The smallest molecule crumb would send him into anaphylaxis. So when I got these I immediately roasted them with olive oil, garlic power, onion powder, garlic salt, paprika and season salt. Saturate them well in a bowl with the olive oil, add seasoning, spreas evenly on parchment paper lined cookie sheets, then put in oven at 350 in 15 minute increments. Toss them every 5 minutes so they don't burn, taste for crispness, & spray with more olive oil (and add more seasoning if you want) then put them back in. Repeat until crisp and browned to your liking. Mine were in for a total of 35 minutes. They should be very golden brown. Such a great snack!

Fresh and Healthy
Love these pumpkin seeds. I was hesitant to buy them but they turn out to be great. They seemed very fresh and it did not have an off-putting smell. I will definitely be buying again from this seller.

Great Product
These are great. I use them specifically for small animals, especially hamsters that are prone to wet tail. We give dogs & cats pumpkin products to ease diarrhea & stomach upsets, so why not let "new to you" hamsters have natural pumpkin seeds. It will help the stress issues they through adjusting to new areas. Great, great product and ALL NATURAL. BRAVO!

Like Chewing on Old Cardboard!
I’ve had plenty experience roasting other pumpkin seeds in the past and these were the worst tasting ever! One reviewer here said it best, “Tastes like cardboard,” and you know? That’s a perfect description. Mine is a simple, air fry roast. A bit of avocado oil. Powdered seasoning. Cook at 190. The first clue something was amiss is they seemed to take forever to brown. Other seed? Perfect roast and great flavor. My best guess is that maybe some batches are older than others since other reviewers obviously have had a more positive purchase. I don’t know, but I won’t risk it again. Highly disappointed in this purchase. (Buyer beware because these are not eligible for return either.)
