Review: Great collection overall. - I'm a big Stephen King fan and I've always loved the short story collections so I was looking forward to this one with huge amounts of anticipation. Plus great title. Really. This collection is overall really good - some obviously that I enjoyed more than others - and yeah, dear Mr King don't do poetry its really not your thing... A couple of these I had read before when they were released as Kindle singles - I still read them again as part of this collection and one of them, UR, about a very different type of e-reader I loved even more this time, really clever little story. The rest are a mish mash, some kept me up at night, some still have me thinking about them, all were great for me (poetry excluded, really didn't do it for me that one)in their own way. Especially fascinating because of the little introductions at the start of each which spoke to where the idea originally started - I've always loved these little insights into man who produces these tales, it just added so much in this case. The small dedications after each one were also lovely. My favourites were "Batman and Robin have an altercation" - a story of a father and son and an incident of road rage, "Morality" which was a kind of King version of Indecent Proposal and Obits which was classic storytelling from this author. I would also like to give a nod to "Drunken Fireworks" a story that lived in my head during the reading, a visual delight. Overall then an excellent read for me. I drip fed them to myself, a story for lunchtime, one before bed and that worked brilliantly for me (and also allowed me more time with a book I'd been so looking forward to) As ever recommended. I know he doesnt do it for everyone these days even if originally fans, but for me personally whilst there have been ups and downs within the body of work, I have never been let down. Still the best as far as I am concerned, I just love the way he writes and engages. Long may it continue. Happy Reading Folks!

A Great Bazaar Lot Of Stories Of Bad Dreams!
The Bazaar Stories of Bad Dreams, by Stephen King is a collection of short horror/science fiction stories, some with twists and turns you simply don’t see coming. There is a treasure here for every reader like a man who keeps reliving exactly the same life, repeating his mistakes over and over again; a columnist who kills people by writing their obituaries; a poignant tale about the end of the human race and a firework competition between neighbours which reaches an explosive climax, I'm not going to go into each and every story, you can read that for yourself but a few of my favorite ones were. * Under the weather - This one tells about the extremes a man that loves his wife will go and it's so..... ick * Batman & Robin have an altercation : P - I liked this because the son goes and gets his dad each week to go out to eat dinner, his dad is slowly losing his memory. They have a really nice time, but then something happens on the way back to the nursing home and it's just so cool what the dad did when he knew his son was in trouble : ) Overall If you are a Stephen King fan then you might enjoy these short fun story's, it might not be for everyone but it sure does make a fantastic read!

I`ve read many books of this awesome writer, one of my favorite writers, actually. I love his short stories, much more than his romances (what can I do?) I just couldn`t stop reading.

I loved every single story, they’re genuinely entertaining. Some of them are, of course, better than others, but in general it’s a book I totally recommend. PS: if you go for the scariest; this is not. It’s more disturbing or stories that’ll leave you thinking.

Such a wide range is new stories are available. What I like about the book is that at the beginning of each tale, you get to read king himself telling you about how he came up with those ideas although some of them may not be called 'horror' or at leats one in which a mysterious creature is involved. These are, undoubtedly, real ones. If you are a king's fan, you must read this book. =)
