These are good general purpose locks with a longer shackle. My use was for locking up my RTIC 40 to the leaning post in my boat. I can fit through the built in locking hole in the cooler and include a 1/2 inch steel cable. I like having three keyed alike. Two for the cooler, one for misc use around the boat. This works as a trailer hitch lock, as the brass ones are too small for mine. I expect a modest lifetime. Probably will need WD40 or 3in1 now and again. I would not call these high security locks. Many bolt cutters can tackle these. They are more of a deterrent for the casual thief, trespasser, etc. Little determination and common tools will beat it. I expected this, and I am totally ok with that. I just want to deter the casual thief. If someone really wants my cooler, they can have it. I would rather they don't damage the boat in the process.

Nice locks and work well on two gates and a storage building. However, I had to have additional keys made as it only came with two keys. Even though these locks say they can be used outside they are showing some rusting where the key is inserted.

Got a great deal on a three set with the long Shanks they work perfect for locking up trailer hitches and things that the shorter locks can't reach would definitely buy from again the quality is unbeatable when it comes to Master locks

I love having three locks keep the same for all three of my sheds. Master lock is a really great product.
