Easy Read for Beginners
I start anesthesiologist assignment school in May and was required to read this book prior to starting, and it has made me excited about learning more and provided me with the basics I’ll need to help me navigate through school. I will definitely be referring back to this book and re-reading it! Definitely recommend for anyone interested in anesthesia or anyone going into school for it!

Great introductory book
The content of the book is a great overview that doesn’t dive too deep. It kept my attention the whole time. The formatting left something to be desired. The addition of some bold words and section headings would have made this a 5-star book.

Exactly what I was looking for
Basic information that goes in depth but not too in depth. Perfect!

This book saved me!
This book was recommended to me by a medical student prior to starting my anesthesia elective in my fourth year of medical school. It is a perfect introduction to anesthesia and provides just enough detail to get you through. The best testament to this is that after reading this, I survived FOUR straight hours of "pimping" (quizzing) from THREE anesthesiologists one day. Recommend to all.

PERFECT for first rotation
In my experience, if you have the information in this book down — you will meet your trainers expectations during rotation one.*Prior to* your first rotation, read through this text:(1) If you’re already familiar with what you’ve read — you’re ready.(2) If some concepts are unfamiliar, review them & get them down and — you’ll be ready.Best of luck!
