I’ve only used this mat once, but I love it! My tile floor was killing my knees during cardio workouts, and this mat made a huge difference. What’s great is that it’s not too sticky or spongy like a yoga mat—so if you’re wondering, no, it’s not like a yoga mat. It has the perfect balance: not slippery, not sticky, firm, and just right for cardio movements. It also works great for lifting weights on it. In my opinion, the 6x4 size is perfect—not too big, not too small. As for durability, time will tell since I just got it. But overall, it’s a great size, a great price, and a lifesaver for my knees

This mat was perfect for my needs. 8’ x 6’ ( picture aspect doesn’t do justice.). Purple yoga mat is separate, I left it in place for reference of size. It came in a nice bag and Velcro straps, storage would be convenient. The mat rolled out fairly flat and laid flat quickly. There wasn’t much of an odor brand new and none within a day. The mat is 7mm (1/4 inch) which is thicker than a yoga mat. But, the thickness is just about right for exercising. Add a yoga mat and this provides ample cushion for yoga or stretching. The mat seems durable enough to exercise with shoes on. I won’t be using shoes. But, I suppose I could. The Active Gear Company is very proactive about making sure you enjoy their products. Which is great. I have also bought a couple of their waist trimmer belts. Also a good product.

I have a piece of ply wood under this mat. I am 240lbs and am putting a Zwift ride into if this. Since I have shag carpet I had to put something underneath it regardless of how nice the mat it. So the mat itself is perfect for what I wanted!! Size is spot on accurate and the high density mat is exactly what I wanted. Not too soft, but stable. Great mat for the price!

Box that it came in was abused with an intensity that can only speak to the delivery person having been traumatized by boxes as a child who grew up to take a job at fedex and wreck his revenge, as it seemed their was passion and attention to detail in the box's abuse that could only come from pure, nurtured malice. Inside the box, however, the mat was pristine. It came in a canvas sack like a tent or camp chair would, along with velcro straps, as if you were going to take this mat back and forth to a yoga class for the 900lb and up group. Those niceties were quickly disposed of, since this mat is likely to still be on the floor of that room when they haul me off to the crematorium in a few decades. The mat is nice, rolled out flat without drama, soft, not slick, is a great joy to my littles who began to dance upon it, didn't reek of rubber, and was all that you could ask for. Even the branding in the one corner is subtly in the texture and not colored to stand out from the plain black mat. It also came with a jump rope, which given my coordination, I can only assume is for proving that the mat can protect you from injuries when you trip and fall to your face. I, however, was wise enough to not attempt that. After all, that looked like exercise, and I got enough of that hauling this mat upstairs. If you are doing a home gym and want a good mat to exercise on or to protect your floor from moderate weights (this is NOT a hard rubber mat for dropping your free weights on like a savage), this is a great choice.

Good quality. Tough good surface to do aerobics or weights, yoga or stretching. Used this product for inside exercise, low impact aerobics. However I have advanced knee osteoarthritis and needed to get extra padding from a hardware store to put under it. I use this product on top and extra padding for underneath. I like it's surface. My shoes don't stick, I mean it's smooth enough that I can turn and move well. So, if you do not have the problems I have with arthritis, then you should be OK with just this product. I just couldn't find any product on amazon that had the thickness and cushioning that I need that isn't like a wrestling Matt.

After spending waaaaay too much time looking at exercise mats, I decided to get this one. I was a little hesitant to get one because all of these things seem a bit expensive for what they are, but I have been pleased with my purchase. It's thick, but not so thick that it's too cushiony to exercise on, and it stays put while somehow also being easy to roll up and away when I don't need it. I've only had it for a week so can't speak to long-term durability, but it seems well made. It had a slight rubbery/plastic-y smell at first, but that went away in a couple of days once it could air out. So far it's been great for using with Body Pump, Body Step, and yoga. I have rolled it away when using for Body Combat as I found I like it better when I can do the quick turns on hardwood. If you're looking for an exercise mat, this is a good choice.

I bought two 6'x4' mats for my workout room. I do mostly kettlebell workouts, and these mats provide an ideal amount of firmness. Also perfect for yoga stretches post workout. I pushed the 2 mats together to obtain a larger workout surface, and I was concerned at first if the mats would start to slide apart while straddling the seam. However, the mats don't slide apart at all on my wood floor (haven't tested them on carpet). Also, both mats have remained flat on the floor with no signs of any roll-up at the edges, as I intend to leave them left permanently rolled out. I have been working out on the mats for only about 3 weeks, so I'm not able to report on longer-term durability, but they appear to be well made. Each mat came with 2 straps to hold the mat when rolled up, as well as a nylon storage bag. Altogether a well made product.

The quality of the mat is amazing. I use it for HIIT workouts and it doesn't move, keeps me from sliding, and protects my floor. Easy to clean by a quick wipe, and always rolls up easily after. Definitely recommend.

Perfect size for our room. Great cushion for our workouts. On laminate flooring and doesn’t slip or move around during high impact jumping moves.
