Very well made and easy to install
Actually enjoyed installing this. Needed to replace a lock with an electronic keypad. It was a pain to change the batteries every few months due to location of the allen screws, and it quit working right after a couple of years anyway. So I wanted a mechanical keypad that did not depend on batteries. This one feels very well made and sturdy. The Installation is very simple, as is the programming. Even so, they include very good directions and link to a great youtube installation video. Note that the bolt is a deadbolt variety, it does not slip closed like a regular door. That being said, I have this on the door to my garage, so I would like a very secure deadbolt.

Good for the cost
Needed an indoor lock that we didnt have to find a key for each time. You can not shut the door without locking it and it doesn't auto lock. If you dont lock it, it swings like there there is no knob. The lock works well. The code buttons are easy to press. The order of your combination doesn't matter since it only recognizes the pressed in #s. So if your combo is 123456 you can press 321654 or 654321 and it will still open. Works for our needs but might not work for everyone since the combo order doesn't matter. It's not a quiet lock and has a loud click when opened and locked.

Pretty good lock. Only one drawback.
I wanted to give this a 3-Star rating, but thought the lock itself actually is not that bad. The BIG drawback is that when you enter a code, it DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SEQUENCE YOU PUNCH IN THE NUMBERS! I found this ridiculous. This is a big security flaw. You do need to select a minimum of 5 characters to set a code, so someone would still have to guess all five. You can do more.Other than that, the lock functions as intended. It is a deadbolt. You key in your code, then turn it clockwise and it stays there until you turn it back to set the deadbolt.

A solid mechanical digital lock.
For starters, the lock actually requires a larger hole and it needs to be further away from the edge than standard door knobs. The bolt mechanism is longer than a regular door knob latch and is slightly bigger.I was able to make a work around. I used a one inch wood drill bit and drilled the back of the hole to accommodate the long bolt. It whole assembly just fit. I set up the code. The code is changeable but it requires the keypad side to be removed to access the screw to remove the keypad cover. It's mechanical so no changing the code via an app. All in all the lock works very well. I might buy another.

Works great, but NOT as a doorknob
Maybe this should have been obvious to me from the description and photos, but this is NOT a doorknob, and it doesn't make a replacement for one. It's a DEADBOLT ONLY, in the shape of a doorknob. Yes, it turns like a doorknob, but don't try using it as a replacement for a doorknob, because that's not what it does. You'll need a separate doorknob, too. Here's why:Just like any other deadbolt, this deadbolt is either locked or it's unlocked. If it's locked, it DOES NOT hold the door closed. Imagine what your door would be like with ONLY a traditional deadbolt, and no doorknob. It just bounces off the rim, and doesn't stay closed—or the bolt is locked open and the door won't close at all. This does the same thing. You can't use it to keep the door closed without locking it. And locking it means that if you want to open the door again, you've got to put in the code. So if you get this DEADBOLT, just be aware that you DO need another doorknob, which would look kind of funny, if you think about it—a door with two doorknobs, one above the other. We compensated by also getting a flair-style doorknob instead of a traditional style, so now it just looks like a door with a flair doorknob AND a traditional doorknob. You just don't use the traditional doorknob to open it—unless it's locked, in which case you punch the code and turn both. Whatever.Again, someone smarter or more observant than me would probably pick up on this and go, "Duh, of course it's not a doorknob." So maybe this is just me. But I didn't discover it until I had it installed in the doorknob spot and realized the door wouldn't stay closed. AAAAAARRRRGH! I'd already been having a bad day, so...Okay, that's the negative part of my review. Aside from that, it's actually a pretty cool deadbolt. For one thing, you can lock it from the outside by simply turning the knob to the left (as opposed to the right, which unlocks it once you punch in the code), so you don't need the key to lock it. And it doesn't spring back, so it only locks if you manually lock it from either side of the door, so you don't need to punch the code every time you need to walk in the door. Also, it's nice that our kids can all unlock it (we have 6 kids). Even our 6-yr old loves racing to the door to unlock it, and she doesn't need a key to do it. We just have to tell the kids not to give the code to all their friends and neighbors. So far they've done great with that.

A Lot to Like
PROs: Lock is made of heavy stainless steel, Fits standard door boreholes so very easy to install. Totally mechanical so no batteries to replace, Great price so great value, Instructions are relatively easy to follow. Uses 4-8 numeric passcode.Con: The passcode does not allow for repeating numbers so whether you set a 4 digit or up to 8 code, you can only use each number once.

These do not last !!! and product support after thirty days is gone.
I have purchased 5 of these locks. The first one i bought i have had no issues with after 6 months plus use so i said ok lets buy three more. For some reason this batch is not working properly.... you enter the wrong code and the lock becomes inoperable form the keypad side. Not fun when you lock your self out of a large building and you have to walk all the way around . I am mechanically very handy and thought OK maybe installation error. So i tried reinstalling them and the same thing happens at random on all locks but one
