Great book to level up your shooting!
Frank's insights and information are jewels of wisdom. When you are ready to go beyond the 100 yard range, you'll understand what he's saying. The writing is clear and enjoyable. Read some, then go practice what you just read. You will become a better precision shooter.

Easy to read and on point!
Book is set-up that gives historical perspective from the author in every other chapter while focusing on relevant fundamentals with chapters in-between. A lot of the author's techniques and approaches dispel many of the myths behind what it takes to build a good foundation. If you want a good 4 hour read that gets you on the right track to breaking bad habits and knowing what you don't know: buy it, read it, and recommend to a friend.

Great Book...!!!
Agree with most of the reviews. It is a great book. It’s a reference! Beginners will benefit, and so will the intermediate shooters. The wind section is advanced for a novice shooter, like me. But the whole book deserves to be visited periodically. Yes, the author included chapters about his MC career. They did not bother me. I am a retired AF guy…

Five Stars for Frank Galli. Excellent book that is both Autobiography and Shooting Primer
This is a great book by a Marine Scout Sniper who served during the U.S. Military comeback of the 1980's into the early 2000's. Galli's personal stories of basic training and passing Scout Sniper selection at a time when few were paying attention-to or documenting the experiences is excellent and is a windonw into the rebound from the "Hollow Force" days of the 1970's. Galli's unit became one of the first Special Operations-Certified Marine units and served in some interesting places, including during the post-Gulf War period, policing illegal oil sales by Iraq and conducting other interesting operations. The book, however, is not just an autobiography. In fact, the main point of it is to provide the precision marksmanship community with some insights and tips. The chapter on 'Weaponized Math' is one of the best analyses of using math to improve shooting skills. The book is worth that chapter alone.Well done and highly-recommended for anyone interested in the history of the period or in improving their marksmanship skills.

Gold mine of information
This book was an incredible read and regardless of skill level everyone can learn something. Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is after reading the book for the 2nd time some of the pages are starting to fall out

I Long Distance is Your Game
Galli knows 'whereof' he speaks! Especially the 'wind' calls. They work and you can count on them out toover 800 yards... just extrapolate. But this write has the credentials and those speak of his experience and the book has helped me hit at 1400 yards (300wm - capable of more) and 1200 yards (.308 out of a 700) and frankly that is very helpful! I jotted down the wind calls and put them on a little minature on the range book so I have 'em handy. Well worth it...

Get the hard copy
This is one of those books you will want to keep as a reference, write notes, outline, and make copies of some pages for your range book. Wish I had picked up the hard copy vs digital. If you already have skills this will help you to be even better. If you are just starting out this is a must read for precision long range.

Disappointing and lacks content
If your starting or interested in long distance shooting do yourself a favour and by a copy of Ryan Cleckners “ long range shooting handbook” that is the only book you really need . This “precision rifle marksmanship” book is disappointing in its lack of actually useful information to new shooters , the front cover draws you in and then dumps you with a load of chapters and photos of the authors military career ……. It would have been more helpful to call the book “ Frank galli’s life a a soldier in the US military” I wish I hadn’t spent the money on this

FRANK GALLI, UN MITO
Libro in lingua americana scritto in modo molto chiaro e preciso. L'autore, un MITO del Tiro a Distanza, spiega con parole semplici come evitare gli errori più comuni nelle fasi di sparo. Vengono descritte anche le tecniche di tiro Long Range. Tantissime foto illustrano i concetti esposti.Forse un po' meno interessante la descrizione della sua carriera militare come tiratore scelto nell'Esercito. In ogni caso, ASSOLUTAMENTE DA LEGGERE!!!

Un must have !

Mal embalaje libro deteriorado

This book does have information about shooting
I found this book to be ok. And contain useful information. However, in my opinion, the author gets too far and too deep with his memories from the military, and these are not always relevant to the content of the book. The book has so....so many typos, this felt disrespectful to the readers. On a bright side, the book provides some decent information on shooting, fundamentals, etc. But there are definitely better books out there
