Yes it is quite spicy. I find that 1 tablespoon of the paste to 2 cups (16 oz.) of chicken or fish broth makes a medium spicy Thai soup.

It doesn't say gluten free. But it makes great tomyumsoup!

Q: What do you have to add to this to make Tom yum soup?

To make the base stock just add either chicken stock or veggie stock to the paste. Once boiling add noodles and shrimps/prawns or chicken and chopped veggies ( Bol choy)
