Gamecube Memory Card Review
This product is the perfect solution for anyone looking for a Gamecube memory card who prefers to purchase name brand peripherals. The memory card comes in the original packaging with the pamphlet just like it would have when it was available for retail purchase in stores. The simple pleasure of the unboxing experience can’t be matched by off brand duplicates. Out of the package, it is a brand new card with no visible scratches or signs of previous use. A used card might have old game information that wasn’t deleted before being shipped, but this product is ready to be pushed into a system and start saving your progress. You can’t ask for a product to be more easy to set up than just sliding it into it’s port and having it immediately work. Along with this, the card is versatile and will work with a Gamecube system or an original Wii system with a Gamecube built in. The memory card provides 16 MB of flash storage for games or game settings. While this seems like an extremely small amount of storage space by today’s standards, for the Gamecube it is actually fully adequate. Even notoriously large games like Animal Crossing only take up a portion of the card, leaving plenty of room for other games. Absolutely the best part about this card is the solid construction you can always expect with Nintendo brand products. The card is constructed with rigid plastic that can stand the test of time just like the system itself or other peripherals like controllers. Short of actually losing the card, there is no reason you would need to replace this in the future. Nintendo builds all their products with the knowledge that children will be using and abusing them, and it’s nice to know even smaller components like the memory card aren’t excluded from this time enduring treatment. If your objective is to find the best way to store the game progress for your Gamecube games, look no further. Whether you’re a first time gamer looking to expand your gaming collection to the Gamecube platform or a veteran looking to start playing all your childhood favorites for the second time, this memory card is sure to keep your game’s progress safe and provide you with the top notch quality you have come to expect from Nintendo.

It's official, so it's great!
I bought this new, and since it's official Nintendo merchandise, the compatibility of the memory card has to be perfect. I, like many others, have looked at the cheap alternatives with 1019 blocks or whatever, but then I remembered the disappointments of trying to do that with the PS2. Sure, the cheaper card is compatible with a good selection of games, but definitely not enough of them. You're then forced to buy the official memory card anyway. If you see yourself buying more than 10 or 15 games for the gamecube, go ahead and purchase the cheaper card with more memory (you'll probably need it, especially if you get a couple sports games), but be aware that some games aren't compatible with the third-party card. If you run into trouble saving/loading a game from the cheap card, then you should purchase this one! It's true that the official card isn't cheap, but it is more compatible and also more reliable. The third-party cards (and controllers for that matter) use weaker plastics and less material to make the products, allowing them to be cheaper. This also means they aren't as hardy as the official ones. I would recommend almost never unplugging / taking out the third-party merchandise from the game system, because the connectors themselves are weak as well, and could get bend or scratched easily.

Great for storage
It works well as a storage device for your game save data but I see other reviews saying it’s not an actual Nintendo licensed item so if that’s what you want I suggest looking elsewhere. But when it comes to functionality then you should definitely get this item! I can now play as Kyubi Naruto and Sharingan Kakashi in my Clash of Ninja game without having to do the steps to get them every time I boot up the game!

Fake, but works fine. Not bad.
The memory card has Philips screws on the back and I did not disassemble the card, but the mother board has a blob or two of black stuff which Nintendo does not use, but it saves my progress in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the GameCube. If you are here because you want an official GameCube memory card, I wouldn't buy this one. If you just want a GameCube memory card that works, then go ahead and order. This is not the best, but it is good enough. Our Wii is able to read the card. I sorta recommend this GameCube memory card. Update: March 30, 2021. This memory card still works great for me. My GameCube is also able to read the card. The review will stay at a 3 star since it is fake, but works well. If it was real, I would give it 5 stars. Overall this card is good. I really like the GameCube.

Still unbelievable that this is a new item. Works perfectly.
So I wanted to do pizza time for the very first time in my life with Spider-Man 2 for the Gamecube on one of the original Wii models. I needed an original card to run it for best results. I bought this and I couldn't believe that this is a brand new old stock memory card item. It works perfectly for pizza time. If I flip the pizzas, Mr. Aziz will flip out.

Fills my needs
First thing I should say is that the Gamecube memory card (251 blocks model) will suit most people needs and is a good starter memory card. This memory card only holds 251 blocks of memory which may not seem like a lot but you might be surprised that not all gamecube require much. If your looking for a budget memory card this would be a good place to start but if you have lots of games you might want to upgrade to the bigger model. Oh, you can also use this on the japan gamecube but that means you have to format the memory card and will lose saved data from the format (You have to always format if you choose to use it on a different region gamecube). If you import games I would recommend getting this card to do so since its cheap. This is completely optional of course, if you don't do this anyway then its no big deal.

Bought this to handle larger games and it is totally compatible with our old Gamecube

Il titolo dice già tutto. Soddisfatto sia del prodotto che delle tempistiche in cui mi è arrivato. Era da tantissimo che cercavo questo prodotto (e altri) legati a questa vecchia console e finalmente l'ho trovato. Davvero felice.
