Sub-standard low quality material
I cracked my Nexus 5 phone when I accidentally dropped it on concrete on my way home. I ordered this part in order to fix this on my own.I have already fixed an older Samsung Galaxy S for a friend a few months back, so I am well aware of the drill and the precautions you need to take. Every cellphone model is different, so I watched a few YouTube videos to know the exact nuances for my Nexus 5.The screen came exactly as advertised. I very patiently did my due diligence and performed a trial install - ie without the double sided tape. Everything worked fine, so I went ahead and did the permanent install. Switched on the phone and still no issues. So far so good. Upon removing the protective cover, I noticed minor cracks on the side near the volume buttons. They were barely visible if I switched off the phone, but noticeable when the screen was bright. I immediately applied a used scratch guard I had saved in order to not destroy it further. However, within a couple of hours of very gentle usage and absolutely no dropping or spilling whatsoever, the crack widened a lot.Since I glued the screen before I noticed this crack, I was not eligible for a replacement or refund - it voids the warranty. But my point is that the crack was so small it was definitely not visible with the protective cover on. If I did see it, I wouldn't remove the cover, would I? To be fair to the seller, I have no way of telling on hindsight if it was damaged when I received or if I damaged it when I installed it, but I was so careful and gentle with my phone during this whole process, that if I indeed damaged it during install, it only would mean that the material used in it (the glass) is of extremely poor quality. The tiniest of force that I may have applied to close the phone's frame did it in!Finally, I would have been ok to live with a tiny crack on my phone's display, but the fact that the crack widened with mild usage of the phone in just a couple of hours was what really annoyed me.All in all, I'd say in principle I got what I ordered, but in reality the quality (of the glass) was just not worth it.The seller did provide timely responses to each of my queries and email, so I don't really have any complaints about their service as such. But in the end I felt I got a raw deal overall and was a waste of my money.

Much better than at least one other generic screen
The first time my Nexus 5 screen broke, I ordered a different replacement screen that arrived with 2 dead pixels and a tendency to smudge so completely my screen looked like I dipped it in oil. It also cracked much more easily than the original, easily-cracked Nexus 5 screen (if you're reading this, I'm sure you agree how easily the Nexus 5 screens break). This screen is much better quality, was packaged much better, stays cleaner, and has no dead pixels at all.Watch some videos and read up before attempting to replace the screen. Here are some hints:*Prepare a workspace. Have a spudger/guitar picks, needle or sim card tool, small phillips screwdriver, place to put screws, place to put components, glue (tape did not work for me), toothpicks or tools for the glue, paper towels to clean up.*The battery is REALLY difficult to get out the first time. Use a flexible flat bladed tool (like an icing spatula/pallet knife) to help pry it out. The glue releasing sounds like something's cracking.*Gluing the screen takes a steady hand. Steadier than I have if you're concerned about your phone looking like new.*After putting the back of the phone back on, make sure to press the upper center of the back of the phone until you hear a click. There's one more tab there -the only tab not along the sides of the phone. If it's not clicked, your camera might not work properly.*Other than that, if you've ever installed computer components you'll find this very similar, but on a smaller scale.

Went with SunnyCalUSA seller
I read customer suggestions about SunnyCalUSA, and got the product. There was a huge mix up with the product; ones in Amazon prime storage were Iphone screen replacements and I received the wrong replacement again. I have contacted and sent both back to the seller. I am sure he is recalling his stocks.Although it was frustrating that this occurred to me (and most likely to the seller as well for being unable to provide the right product immediately), I am fairly satisfied with the product's quality. The price may seem hefty compared to given suggestion on Amazon, the seller provides kits to use to remove your screen without damaging too much of your inside and outside of your phone. I didn't see any double sided tape or glue with the tool kit so I used my own tape from a window insulator kit. So far, I don't see any issues with the screen so you have one happy customer.

Perfect... almost
I was pretty skeptical ordering this screen since it was so inexpensive but I was presently surprised. The screen came with two tools: a star head screwdriver and a plastic pry tool. Okay... All the screws in the phone are Phillips head... Wut? Alright, the pry tool is a nice touch but would have been better if I hadn't broke it before getting the back case off. Whatever, I care about the screen. After much fussing about, I finally got it all put together again (my main trouble being taking it apart since Google probably never meant anyone to take it apart). I powered it up, works like charm. No, the screen moves around but that was my own doing and I bought a better case and now it doesn't move at all. The only real complaint is that the screen isn't as luminous as OEM. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.
