stuck this little baby on a 1.7cu ft fridge placed on top of my desk, and it is just amazing. can be easily wiped clean by anything wet. the technique is to wipe the residue with a dry paper towel, and it's as good as new. since my compact fridge is cube-shaped, i needed to cut 6.5x16 off the board. stuck this piece to the side of my fridge, and voila--some extra writing space. the cutting part was my main concern before placing my order. the description indicates that a sharp knife may be needed, but i was able to cut it with a pair of dollar scissors.on a side note, i purchased some extra chalk markers by chalk talk. they work perfectly with the board, but i believe any liquid chalk marker would. the product is just that good. would give this 10 stars if i could.

I've looked through several reviews on Amazon to find the right board to write notes on the fridge, just for me and my hubby, nothing fancy. I didn't want to pay too much money but also didn't want to end up with something cheap that won't work. This is what I think after using it for 2 months:+ This is exactly what the description says+ It does wipes really easily with a wet cloth - every time after cleaning it looks like brand new+ it stays in place pretty solid and at the same time not too difficult to move around if you need too- the pen does not have a magnet (basically you cannot place the pen on the door)And this is the only minus I found)Hope this would be helpful

The reason I gave this item three stars instead of five was because of my own misunderstanding. I should have read more about the product. I thought that the board itself would be of actual chalkboard texture and look. It is pretty much a marker board. I also thought that the writing tool would have been more like chalk or would have been actual chalk. It, however, is a marker that writes in white. Still, it is a nice product. I like to use it for writing down small grocery lists. Which was what my intended purpose was for it.

Was in a spot where sun could hit it and the writing seems to now be there forever. Will not erase. A real bummer.

Sticks to the fridge and doesn't fall off. Fine to write on, but takes some effort to erase. I have to take it off the fridge and wash it in the kitchen sink. If I use a wet wipe, prominent white streaks are left on the board, which looks messy and makes it difficult to see anything else I write on top of it. Also, please note that this surface does not adhere to regular chalk! Only the chalk markers will show up. For the price, I'm willing to make these adjustments. Plus, it's been very useful in our house for keeping up with the chores.

This product is wonderful! I wanted something I could place on my fridge and use as a shopping list/memo pad. After reading a few bad reviews of some other similar products on Amazon, I was hesitant to go this route but decided to give it a try. It was worth it!The magnet is very powerful and sticks to the fridge with no slipping or movement. The white marker that is included with the purchase works great. It doesn't drip or run when writing and easily wipes off with just a damp cloth or paper towel. As I've read from some other product reviews, it doesn't leave any ghosting behind and cleans completely off with no hard scrubbing or chemicals.I highly recommend both the chalkboard and the marker and will be looking into getting additional marker colors from this same brand.

We all LOVE this - worth the cost! Works PERFECTLY to draw a calendar grid on & keep track of everyone's sports/lessons/work schedule. It's big enough for a whole month (as long as you have a steady hand)! Fits horizontally on the fridge side of a side-by-side refrigerator. Can be easily moved, but it doesn't move at all with regular fridge action. I bought an extra pen so that I could draw calendar lines with one color, and fill in the activities with a different color. Much better than a wall-mount calendar - doesn't mess up your walls or take up wall space! If I haven't said it already, this was an awesome purchase!

A complete waste of money! After I'd written on the board and erased it, you could still see what I'd previously written. Even using a damp sponge as the instructions said to do did not remove it completely.
