Ecozone Kettle & Iron Descaler (3x20g)

Set off my fire alarm while steaming all the nasty out of my iron. Genuinely surprised by the amount of crap that came out. It takes awhile to fully steam out your iron but this was so worth it!

Ooooh boi. It works. I had a steamer that was never cleaned (for 3yrs). It would spit out black liquid onto my clothes. Got this (had to use two packets, did two rounds of cleaning) ans oooh boi, it oozed all of the black gunk! My steamer is back to being useful again! Sucks that its only 3 packets.

Works well, however I often had to use two packs to get rid of the scale buildup in my kettle .

I wish I had taken a picture of the bottom of my kettle before I used this stuff! I used all theee packets and now I’m thinking I probably didn’t even need all three because there wa no scrubbing necessary at all. My kettle looks brand new! It’s sparkling! This is a definite repurchase. I’ll use one packet every few weeks for maintenance. Love it.

I was so pleased with this cleaner-it took 2packets to completely descale my electric tea kettle. I had previously used white vinegar and water but it did not work well plus the odor lingered. No issues after rinsing it a couple of times. My new go to product!

If you have had your kettle for many years but have basically never descaled it because you don't have particularly hard water, but then realized, oh crap, you really need to descale your kettle because it's doing weird things, then using this product and following directions (use all 3 packets if you've never descaled before or if it's heavily limescaled) will take off literally years of limescale very easily, without the horrible smell that the vinegar method has, which generally prevents you from doing descaling more regularly. Don't ask me how I know, it's definitely, definitely not from personal experience. Definitely not. (Incidentally, this product is 100% citric acid, so you can also buy food grade citric acid in bulk and use 1 Tbsp per half kettle of water, 2 Tbsp for a full kettle, or 6 Tbsp if you need to do a heavy descale. You're welcome. But if you want something pre-measured, this is useful.)

No dig on the product, I'll save the other two packs to try on the coffee maker. BUT, don't waste your money or time on this or any other product to clean a steam iron. These just create a huge mess. I use a 50/50 mix of Distilled/Softened tap water (most steam irons don't like 100% Distilled Water) and after 4+ years, it was time to clean. As always, after using a descaler and 4-5 clean tanks of water, you have a huge mess. Based on my experience (I'm one of those unreasonable types who thinks that one day a product line this might work) this will happen every time. Two suggestions: 1. Get some cotton handkerchiefs and use those between your old iron and the clothes to keep the debris off your clothes, or 2. Bite the bullet and buy a new iron... they are disposable assets anyway.

Great! Would suggest that while cleaning it to iron old things as the iron spits out a lot of stuff. Still cheaper than a new iron!

Worked very well. Added to a just boiled kettle, left 30 minutes. It had got rid of 90% of the timescale. I then heated the kettle again to near boiling as per the instructions and left it to cool again, two more times. The limescale was completely gone pretty much. Although it took a while, the hands on time was less than 5 minutes. I appreciate that it was very low effort apart from checking out rebooting the kettle, and that I could reheat the same mixture as many times as needed rather than waste another sachet. I also appreciate it had no strong smell or chemical feel. I have an illness and can't tolerate many chemicals and fragrances but I was absolutely fine with this. I'll definitely be using this brand from now on.
