Real GM replacement part with exact fitment.
This GM part arrived on time, in good condition, and it was an actual GM part. I installed it today, after testing the old canister and seeing that it was bulging when air pressure was applied. I had restricted flow, the charcoal was in place still and not shaking around like a rattle, but it was obviously failing. When I was pumping gas, it would shut off after a few gallons. Now off to the gas station to test that the pump doesn't shut off.

Took care of my refueling problem
I have a 2008 Chevy suburban and I was having trouble refueling shutting off every few seconds and I had to refill very slow, after I replaceed this canister which took about 45 minutes, I went and refilled, and I was able to refill with the pump held in all the way very fast it also seems to have improved the fuel mileage on the vehicle.

Fits 2007 Avalanche
Fit 2007 Avalanche. Fixed my refuling problem. Gas pump would shut off every 3-5 seconds. The carbon pellets had broken loose in the old one and worked their way into some if the lines. Be sure to blow out the lines while lines are disconnected. I did it by wrapping a rag around an air pressure handle and blowing through the fuel filler port. A considerable amount of pellets blew out onto the driveway.

Exact match to legacy part
This is an exact match to the original part on my 2006 Suburban. It was easy to install once you get the hoses off. Old unit was saturated and weighed 9 ozs. more than the new unit. This was the cause of my gas tank filling slow and tripping the gas nozzle off like the tank was full. It also solved the P0446 code causing my check engine light to come on.

Solved my issue with my tank vent. Now I can fuel up the suburban without the pump shutting off constantly.
