Fantastic Factories

Intuitive gameplay anyone over the age of 10 should understand, it’s a resource management game so it’s a game I absolutely love, the cards are ok quality, the gameplay is a 9/10, once you get a strategy going its genuinely satisfying, I’d highly recommend it.

Felt that the game was easy to learn after watching a "how to play" video, and we were able to teach it to our 8 year old son and 10 year old daughter. Engaging for us as parents because strategy development requires some deeper level thinking, but not so much that our kids couldn't also develop a good strategy of their own. Game play was well paced-there wasn't a lot of down time where the kids didn't have anything to do because part of each round is simultaneous play. Total game time felt good-around 30-45 minutes to play the game. Theme was fun to immerse ourselves into-we were building a tableau of factories/buildings to help make the factories more efficient and the dice were our factory workers.

My son and I play ALOT of games, and we really enjoy this particular game. It's simple enough my daughter and girlfriend can enjoy it at well (some games we play are too complicated and they are not interested in joining us). My son is very competitive and suffers from analysis paralysis, but this game has 2 key features that limit this somewhat. First of all, it's not obvious who is going to win. He really doesn't like playing a game where he is clearly losing. This particular game it's "not over 'til it's over". If he's not focused on whether he's losing or not, he can enjoy the game better. Secondly, all turns take place simultaneously, so I'm not waiting forever for him to take his turn; we can both think about our turns at the same time! A+++

This is a super fun game and one of my favorites in my collection. Plays great with 2 players. Highly recommended.

This game is “Fantastic”. It really is easy to learn. Easy to teach. Just really fun.

My son came home raving about this and that he and his friends played it. After playing it, I’m not as thrilled. It seems like once you know the best strategy or the best cards you just keep picking until you get the best cards and it’s gonna be easy to win.

Good game, Seems pretty similar to some others so you may want to think about that before purchasing.
