It smells similar to chocolate, and tastes similar to chocolate. I put it in the blender with frozen bananas to make a dairy-free ice cream. My daughter and I absolutely love it. I also mix it with agave to make a carob sauce, but the texture of it is a little grainy. When in a hot dish like oatmeal, it seems to melt in. I absolutely love this as an alternative, I just wish the price was a little lower

Bought this to make some dog treats as a chocolate substitute works great

I used this to top my chocolate free tiramisu and it worked great! Doesn’t dissolve quite as readily as chocolate but it’s a decent alternative.

We fill hollow cow bones for our dog and freeze them. He gets a frozen bone each morning filled with a mixture of oatmeal, yogurt, a variety of dried fruit , and different flavorings. Carob is one of his favorites. Grateful that it is ok for dogs to eat.

Literally didn’t taste any different from cocoa! Maybe even better because there is a distinct bitter taste to cocoa and this just simply has a rich chocolate taste. No after taste! No problem dissolving! I found my replacement 100% !
