Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Ready-To-Use with Trigger Sprayer, Kills Dandelion, Crabgrass, and Clover, 1 gal.

I ordered my second/ or third one because I have used this in the past and it really works. I’ve tried other brands and this works the best. This does not work super fast but it works without hurting my grass. I live near Chicago and have a mixed grass type of lawn. Once I spray it in a few days the weeds start to look a little wilted but it takes a couple weeks for them to die. I would say it takes an entire month for the entire plant to melt away to nothing. It’s weird like the space looks like a hole as if someone dug it up. The best thing is that it kills those prickly weeds too. I call them thistle. They are the ones with little thorns that stick your feet if you walk barefoot. The grow on tubers so if I pull one….3 grow back in it’s place but with this I would say for every dozen I spray and kill only one grows back so eventually I can get rid of all of them. I like the battery operated sprayer because I do not have to pump a spray. It’s easy to use you just pop the end in the top and then turn it to open it. Then you unfold the wand and turn it on. It’s pretty intuitive so I do not really have to consult the instructions but there are instructions under the label which peels back. The size was big enough to do a large area but not so large that it was too heavy to carry. Good value considering I’d pay a company 4 - 5 times that to come out and spray basically the same thing but at least this way I can only target stuff like sticker weeds and spare the clover that I love.

Another quality lawn product from ortho and have used Ortho for years and have stayed with the brand something approaching 40 years .I do consider it my go to because it has always been effective for me and I believe at competitive price especially since the product actually works whereas when I have tried competitors have always been disappointed. Some patience is required it does not work overnight have to give it some time to work in.

This stuff WILL kill weeds of many types, even that pesky crabgrass we all hate with a passion. I sprayed it with skepticism, because other products I’ve used may as well have been placebo juices, granules and pellets. A few days later, I notice that it did indeed kill A LOT of weeds, and crabgrass. Problem is, I guess I didn’t really realize how much of my yard was weeds 😂 So now there are these bare spots all over that requires reseeding. Ahh, the joys of horticulture, and landscaping….As an adult, homeowner, and do it myselfer, I have realized that growing a beautiful, lush yard is no easy feat, and requires YEARS of battling weeds, and nursing grasses. In the end, it’s all worth it to stand back and know you created your own oasis from start to finish. In short, this product works if you follow the directions. It will also require you to do this several times because weeds all have to be active for this to work. That means that you kinda have to do this at least 3 times. Spring, summer, and fall. Then next year, there will be less weeds, but you may even need to do the entire cycle over again. Weeds are very, very persistent. One bottle does go a long way though, so great coverage. Easy to spray. I had no leaks. Just be sure to seat the rubber seal well before attaching it to the hose. I would give it 5 stars, but I deducted a star because they don’t tell you that you have to repeatedly use this in order to get ALL of the weeds. That miscommunication is why people think the product doesn’t work. Oh, and mowing the day before applying helps a bit too, but be careful not to overspray one area or you can also burn your grass. lol, it’s all such a delicate process, but you have to remember you are forcing nature against it’s free will and that isn’t easy. Be patient, do research, and follow directions. I hope this review helps you 😊

Bought this to zero in on a few dandelions and several wild garlic weeds throughout the lawn. After 3-4 applications over the course of 10 days, the dandelions are starting to look a little withered and the wild garlic has turned yellow, but neigher of these weeds are completely dead even after repeated applications. It's nice that this did not kill mu grass, but it did not have a clear impact on the weeds I will look for another brand of weed killer

The Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate works exactly as described. After one application, crabgrass, dandelions, and clover started to die off within days, and it didn’t harm the surrounding grass. Diluting and applying with a sprayer was straightforward, and one bottle covers a good-sized lawn area.I appreciate that it targets weeds down to the root for lasting results. Just make sure to follow the label directions for best performance. A reliable choice for maintaining a clean, healthy lawn.

Anyone who’s got creeping Charlie and/ or clover and/ or Canadian thistle in their lawn knows that these things seem bulletproof. This product kills them, and the usual suspects as well. I would only recommend that you hit the thistles a little harder than called for.You could buy Stinger or Curtail, but this is less expensive, easier, and you don’t have to go to a ag chemical supplier that deals in quantities that will run into $100’s of dollars. I’ve got about 3 acres of lawn, and I still like this better.Ok, I’ll shut up now. It’s starting to sound like I own stock in the company. 😉

Hey, it kills weeds

Only four stars. Should be 3.5. It did not kill any of my crab grass. And the crab grass had not gone to seed, so the directions said it would. But it did not damage my lawn, and it did kill some nut grass . And it killed weeds.( zone 8b )
