Pretty terrible, don't buy it. I threw it away after like 2 weeks of Messing with it... It never worked right; maybe once.. your better off just buying a on / off switch. It was definitely a waste of money.

I had to extend the wiring and bend the mount slightly BUT this sensor has worked perfectly for my LED trunk light in my Mustang. Update 11/19 - I was driving with the back seats down and on hard braking the light came on occasionally. I would not qualify this as an issue AND with the sensor mounted properly this only happened occasionally and when the trunk is open I had no issues or flickering as reporting by others. All I had to do to ensure this steady operation was tilt the mounting about 15 degrees offset of the back of the trunk.

I used this switch to trigger a relay for a hood lamp in my car. It's a very simple to integrate device and since it mounts via a sheet metal strap, it was easy to bend to adjust the angle to get it to trigger at the right point. What I don't like is that the switch bounces or jitters a lot when it is near its switching point. This can't be good for my relay. This switch would be good in a debounced circuit or as a trigger for something like an alarm. In my application, I think I need to find a switch that is less prone to jitter.

I purchased this product and it was exactly what I needed, I have wood floors and this product protects them from scratches from my bed frame. I have purchased another one for my next home project and look forward to receiving it and protecting my new floors. Worked for maybe a month to power a 60" LED strip. Amp draw was merely 1A @12.5v. Eventually caused LED strip to pulse and completely fail. Best used most likely with a relay.

The switch works okay, but a little overly sensitive, tends to flicker if move slightly. also remember that this will need an external relay to drive anything that requires more than a few milliamps of current.
