Delightful book
Bought this for my 11-year-old grandson. Excellent illustrations and explanations, while teaching the science of Biomimicry. Builds increased appreciation for the natural world we are privileged to live in. I learned things from the book myself.

Amazing book!
I don’t usually write reviews, but this book was engaging and kept my 6-year-old’s attention. We both learned a lot! As homeschoolers, we read it as part of a unit on biomimicry, and it was a perfect fit. The stories are short enough to hold a child’s interest while still being fascinating. I highly recommend it!

Encourages problem-solving and exploration through nature in a fun, engaging way
My students and I LOVE this book! It encourages children (and adults) to question, wonder and explore how our world works through nature they see everyday. The words are sophisticated yet playful, and the book is beautifully illustrated. My students were engaged throughout, asking many questions and connecting to the world around them. This is a great addition to a classroom library and to use with your kids at home!

Very engaging,
I love this book! I can’t wait to share it with my kindergarteners to introduce this STEM concept. Each example of biomimicry has an engaging rhyming and beautifully illustrated nature example followed by interesting scientific facts and an explanation of the associated engineering designs. There are even additional free resources in the back of the book.

Great for teachers and grandkids!
As a retired science teacher myself, I wish I had this book when I was teaching! Now I plan to enjoy it with my granddaughters, ages 7 and 10. It is well written and the graphics are wonderful.
