My Podiatrist suggested I get one. I chose Beurer for the reasonable cost, appearance, the convenient storage bag and the fact that it is German engineered (though made in China). There could be more variety in the seven attachments in my opinion, but I am still learning about the permutations, ie. speeds and endings.

This is originally intended for nail care, but I use it to remove cuticles from my feet. Especially when used after a shower, it can easily remove stubborn cuticles. Hardened cuticles can impair the growth of toenails and make them thicker and harder, so it is effective when used for self-care of toenails. However, it is important to be careful not to overdo it.

It works very well, and the selection of attachments allow for sanding a variety of skin thicknesses. When a friend saw my toes, she thought I had them done at a nail salon! It does not have a light, which is what I was looking for. I first purchased one with a light and found that the light lit up the area around the device but did not light up the skin I was sanding, so I returned that one and bought this one without the light. It is a good quality machine at a reasonable price.

I recently received the BEURER MP32 Nail Drill.I'm only giving it 3 stars b/c I DO believe it's quality & will work well.The reasonable price & the dust shield were the big selling points for me on this unit.Unfortunately upon opening, it appeared the package might have been a previously returned item.While the unit did look clean it appeared it was opened previously. It just did not look like it was a newly packaged unit. Nothing was wrapped in plastic bags like new items usually are, the cord was just shoved in there, the attachments were in a plastic bag but it wasn't sealed AND... is was missing the dust shield (as MANY others have also said).(Lost 2 stars b/c of this).I decided not to even try the unit and I am just going to return it. So I looked for something else similar and decided upon the BEURER MP62. Although it costs more, it has the same attachments (and a few more).That unit arrived yesterday - and everything was properly packaged - wrapped in plastic AND it included the dust shield! (I'll be reviewing that product in detail after I've used it a few times).So... Hopefully my experience (unit missing the dust shield) was just a fluke.

This was originally purchased for me as a gift, and I had no idea what to do with it. Once I realized all of its features, I was in love, and I ended up buying a second set!Before I started using this product, I had this thickened, yellow toenail that had developed a fungal infection after leaving nail polish on for way too long. It looked gross and embarrassing for years, so I always painted it, which made the problem worse.With this product, I was able to buff my nail down and treat my toenail fungus. I don’t know if the fungus is totally gone, but after buffing the nail weekly x 4 weeks, it has remained clear (not yellow) and the thickness hasn’t returned for about a year. This product is also great for buffing calluses, for hard to cut toenails, and so much more. I am a nurse and like to keep my fingernails short. This product makes the tips of my nails look and feel nice and smooth (they are hard to file with a regular nail file when they get short).I am sure this product does way more than I have mentioned. It was something I didn’t think I needed until I tried it. It’s not just for women either. Dudes, please take care of your toenails, especially if you have fungus. I also highly recommend this for caregivers of elderly people (most of which inevitably get toenail fungus).2 points of safety I have to state as a nurse:1) If you are buffing an area suspected of having fungus, please wear a mask, as you could develop a lung infection from the aerosolized nail fungus. If the fungus is really advanced/gross, you may need to see a podiatrist first.2) I recommend either using a dedicated tip for nail fungus, or at least sterilize with alcohol (which can kill surface-level fungus). I recommend to leave the tip soaking in rubbing alcohol (at least 70% ETOH/alcohol concentration).In short, I highly recommend this product for anybody who cares about their nails (or cares for others who can’t maintain their own nails)! I honestly think that everybody should have one of these around.
