The number of times I've used the soft screws that come with a fitting, like lights and wall mounts, etc. means I've probably sworn and been frustrated more times than I needed to. What I should have done, and what it's taken me too long to learn, is that I need to have a good selection of high quality plugs and screws to hand and to use them instead. I'm now a complete convert to Fischer products. I'd suggest getting a multi-pack first, but if like me you're running out of a type, then you can always re-fill with these packs. *** Pros *** - Very good plugs that work well in almost all situations - Vastly superior to the types of plugs and screws that are included with some products - Screws are of a very good quality - Screws are 35mm long - Screw head is PZ2 - Plugs are suitable for a 5mm drill bit - Box is recyclable *** Cons *** - I'd have liked Fischer to offer a shorter screw length option *** Overall *** I don't like to waste time, so I now know that buying Fischer plugs and screws is a guaranteed way to get something that is going to work very well and isn't going to fail on me (no rounding of screws, no poorly manufactured plugs, no shearing of screw heads, etc.). These are robust and trusted, but you do pay extra for that peace of mind.

I most of the time use tx head screws the only exception is these. Fantastic bit of kit. Hung alot of big heavy Roman blinds into plasterboard. Solid as a rock

A plug which really grabs and is well made. I use these in several different sizes and have never had one split or fail. I would certainly recommend over the ones that come with other products. Definitely value for money.

These quality wall plugs are easy to use and give you confidence with the task in hand right from insertion. The plug automatically adjusts to suit all building materials through its 3 features - folding, expanding and knotting. The plugs come in a range of sizes - Be sure to use the appropriate length plug for the material in order to benefit from all 3 features of this plug. Particularly suitable for hollow building materials. I now only ever use DuoPower plugs.

I've been using these fischer duo power wall plugs as an alternative to the less-than-stellar plugs and screws that come bundled with a lot of purchases these days - and it's been a revelation. Knowingly exact what size drill bit is needed for the prep hole, knowing the screws is well matched to the plugs, having confidence that they actually perform and hold up well, and won't rust if they get well. All these points make the one-off slightly larger cost actually a really good value proposition to me. I've been impressed with both of the sizes of these plugged and included matched screws that I've tried so far. It's a bit of an indulgence but well worth it for the convenience and confidence.

I've bought these for a number of projects around the home both indoors and out and I won't use any other wall plug now. These feel like they hammer in well and work the drilled hole really solidly when screwed into. They're really confidence inspiring which I don't reliably get when I use other makes. Not cheap though... but I like the way they work.

Never thought I would review screw plugs but these really are very good. I use them everywhere and they hold well in most surfaces. Far better than the plastic plugs, I think a bot more expensive but worth it.

Strong as a stiff whisky should be! Anchored a floating bathroom vanity and sink without even breaking a sweat! Top notch kit
