Great, simple, light, robust
I've been riding for ages, since I was a kid, I've never got into the whole clipping in on road bikes so I fit all mine with flat pedals. For a simple black goes with anything pedal this is brilliant, I've taken mine through hills, gravel, mud, dirt, winters, they're still fine. Sure you can spend more, but I can't see me doing - a pedal is a pedal to a degree, so long as the bearings are of good quality, you're pretty much set. These are a nylon / plastic so you won't need new shins if you manage to bash them!

Save your shins.
Combined with my five ten shoes these things stick like metal pedals but with none of the shin flensing they often involve. Very happy with them. Update - I've been using these for almost 3 years now and in combination with the five ten soles I've had no problems with slipping. Currently using them on my gravel bike too with similar success. No shredded shins and no slipping. Some reviews lament the large plate and low pins but with a sticky sole it provides a nice wide platform with plenty of grip. Even on longer rides they're comfortable and effective.

Great pedals
Great flat pedals , slim and light and no nasty pins to rip your shins !

Solid
Solid, lightweight, nice looking pedals which for a plastic style pedal offer a reasonable amount of grip with the right shoes (such as Five Tens). They appear to be quite serviceable. Compared to pedals with metal pins these fall short, as I've found when my shoes are muddy or wet these pedals lose a lot of traction and I can slip around a little... but I've not slipped off them. And this is the compromise you make with these pedals, really: less grip than metal pins, but your shins will thank you if you are prone to violent ejection from your bike. You are paying a premium for these pedals. You are paying for Raceface, and I do not think they are quite worth the price... but they are good, and I'd rather pay a tenner more for a brand like Raceface that actually supports the MTB industry and its riders than the cheap knock off brand offering a similar product (also available on Amazon) that only serves to undermine it.

Eh, bad grip
Pedals are firmly OK. Major issue is that the plastic studs in the pedal are far to flat/large, and consequently have very poor grip on most shoes. They really needed to have smaller/more pointed studs on the pedal so that they can really get in amongst the sole of my beastly footwear. In their current form these pedals are just ineffectual, I put them on and after one ride took them off in favour of my cycle's original pedals (which are the boring plastic ones found on almost all modern bikes fresh from the factory - but apparently they are yet better than these!)

Well made, but very slippery
Well made, but very slippery. The plastic ‘pins’ give no grip at all

Just the job nice looking pedal
For a plastic peddle I like them , I’m not a heavy rides or abuse my things ...I can’t give a long term durability, but if your a heavy ride and give your bike abuse then go for metal

Superb!
Strong, sturdy good quality pedals, great for beginners like myself. Good width, feet feel very secure when in use, no slipping around. Highly recommend.
