Perfect and fits in the PocketRocket container.
I'm brand new to using the PocketRocket camping/backpacking stove, so take my review from that perspective, as a new user to this type of camping stove. I was looking for a "lighter" that was convenient, small and packable to carry with the stove. This and the PocketRocket fit perfectly in the case. The lighter is a piezo electric "spark". No fuel in the lighter and no flame. It generates a spark with each push or "Click" of the button. Simply hold it where you light the stove, turn on the gas and click to light. Any downsides??? I suppose the only downside I can think of is you cannot use it where you might need an actual flame for something. It couldn't be better for lighting the stove in my opinion.

Failed after two days:(
I purchased a smaller jetboil than the one I was using previously in an attempt to reduce the size of my cooking system when I got hiking. The particular model I got doesn’t come with the built in ignition system that my previous one had. So I purchased this item based on the MSR reputation for outdoor gear reliability. I just finished a hiking trip to Zion National park. The first two days this worked great, one or two clicks and the stove fired up. I keep commenting to my friend how great it was. The main features that I liked, was that it is lightweight, no need for fuel, no battery and I liked not having to put my hand right in the flame. Unfortunately, day thee it took like 5 clicks to ignite, waisting fuel before it ignited, second cup of coffee day thee it stopped working. Very nice mild weather, no heavy wind. Since I had matches, I started using that the rest of the trip. I am very disappointed. If anyone gets this make sure you have a backup means to ignite your stove. When it worked it was great. But it failed very fast and that is very disappointing.

Works on MSR Windburner IF YOU KNOW HOW!
I purchased MSR Windburner along with this igniter. To my disappointment, the igniter did not work at all. Amazon sent me a replacement for the igniter, but it worked only 3 out of 10 times. I was very disappointed and frustrated, figured it could be worse in cold and alpine conditions where I planned to use. Incidentally the MSR Windburner fire pattern draw my attention: it had 3 nickel sized bright spots (see attached photo). I think those are the gas outlets. Then I tested by pointing (touch) igniter directly at where the bright spots were, now the fire starts 10 out of 10 times. Even the first igniter worked this way. So if this igniter does not work with your MSR Windburner, use a match to light up Windburner, remember the bright spots' location, and try again using method I described above. The tests I performed was at 54ºF no wind. I might update this post after experiencing more adversarial conditions.

Easy piezy lighter
An essential part of my UL cook system (but I do carry a mini bic lighter just in case).

Nice Item.
Great idea/design. Fits inside the Trangia gas burner's stuff sack. Now I'll light gas appliances and not burn myself! Illustration Shows A Carry Loop Attatched. There's Space Made In The Plastic Blister Pack To Hold It When Packaged. Came Sans Its' Illustrated Carry Loop. I'm Petty & Feel Slightly Cheated. But It Was Part Of My Decision To Purchase. I'll Loop A Length Of Fabric Fishing Line Through Perhaps. So Just Don't Be Too Upset If Your Loop Also Is Missing. Happy To Find This And It Will Do Fine For Me Regardless... Press It, It Sparks, Everytime.
