It WORKS. Instructions are unclear.
Ok first things first: YES, this remote works. 100%. BEFORE YOU BUY- check the info above for your gate/garage band. Its a must. Mine is a Liftmaster/ Chamberlain.Second: I am NOT a garage fella, so it took me longer than I wanted for this to work. The instructions are well thought out but still vague. I have the steps below, hope it helps.OK heres how you get this remote to work, step by step:STEP 1:First, get your old remote and this new one. Make sure the original has charged batteries.STEP 2:Its time to copy the signal from your old remote to your new one.PRO TIPS: Do this AWAY from your garage, hell maybe a parking lot up the street or further- just to make sure youre not opening and closing your garage nonstopSTEP 3:On the new remote: Hold the TOP RIGHT and BOTTOM LEFT button down, around 3 seconds. The light will flash once. NOW click the button you’d like to use, tap ONCE. You know you’ve done this right because the LED should now slowly flash.STEP 4 (FINAL STEP FOR SOME GATES/GARAGES):Grab the original remote and press it close to the new remote. The new remote’s LED will RAPIDLY FLASH. This means the signal has been copied. Success*!—Troubleshooting tips:So, you didnt get a flashing light. Here’s my tip for that; the instructions and some comments here say “keep the remote close”, or “turn it over”. But Ive found JUST one way to ensure my signal is copied. You keep your eye on the ORIGINAL remotes LED AND the new remotes LED. If your old remote led flashes, following with the NEW remote flashing, boom copied. If not, wait a moment and restart the process from that “cross press”.—STEP 5 “NEED TO ACTIVATE RECIEVER” BRANDS:-* ok heres where you MIGHT be done or you might not be done. Some gates are totally fine with the remote being copied and thats it.If you check the instructions and your brand says “Need to activate reciever”, then this means you just need to find the corresponding “learn” button on the gate receiver. For most liftmasters, its a purple button on the back of the lamp thingy. Make sure youre back in your garage for this step. Get up to the back of that thing, Now hold that button, AND the button you copied the signal to on your NEW remote.Once I did this, my garage opened, so this means that it WORKED.—OKAY. Hope this helps you.. I know its long, sorry. But I recently got one and was confused for a few days until I figured it out.. IT DOES work. 5 stars for me. I wanted to pass info. Also edited for grammar and wrong steps. Oops. Ciao!

Totally Worth It!
My appointment complex charges 50 bucks for a replacement fob. I was not about to do that when it's their fob (linear 31b) button that wasn't working. I purchased this fully prepared to have to return it if it didn't work on cloning my current key fob.It worked! Not only did it work but it's was super easy to clone my fob. I was so happy with the results that I purchased another one to have as an extra when I have visitors and let them use my parking spot.I attached it to the side of my console with some hook and loop so I never misplace it and it always where I need it (with my car). You've got nothing to lose, give it a go and if it doesn't work just return it.I couldn't be happier! Totally work it!

Advertised as a "clone" capable, but requires setup at opener
I purchased this to clone my current secured parking lot opener (guest use) to avoid getting gouged for a replacement from the building management. The opener is on the list of compatible brands/units, but the clone feature does not work. Setup at the opener is still required, which defeats the purpose. The unit may work fine after setup, but it was wasted money for me.

Awful instructions, but it can be made to work
It was very easy to copy a gated community's gate code and another remote I had. These are both fixed code remotes.Copying my Chamberlain Liftmaster (rolling code) was a nightmare which dragged on for about a week with multiple emails to their tech support, which have little, if any, idea how it works. After multiple attempts, it finally worked. Based on my experience I would revise the instructions:Original:Step4: Keep pressing any button of original remote till the Idol LED blink. It means the code has been successfully stored.Revised:Step4: Hold any button of original remote until IDOL LED blinks (fixed code) or flickers (rollingcode). For rolling code, it may be necessary to continue holding until IDOL LED stops flickering.

Exactly what it says; Many others tried
I tried Several Fobs; ALL of them claim to clone, NONE of them worked and all needed the 'Program Memory' button on the Gate pressed by maintenance staff. NOT what I was purchasing.THIS device actually works. Although not happy with the price. These used to be dirt cheap like 2 for 5;I remember In 2019 I got a 3 pack of these for 11$.Distance: Works pretty far away (75-100 feet?) and I have Carbon Tint that blocks some signal.

Works with LiftMaster garage and Gate
Very easy to program. Took me a min to program my gate and garage. It worked very good with the LiftMaster gate in my apartment. DID NOT need to program it on the gate machine. Whereas for my apartment garage, I had to press the learn button on my garage machine to make it work. Now I can use just one key for both my gate and garage :)

looks nice..but didn't work for me
Didn't work with either of my two garage door openers. Don't know if it was incompatible or was defective, either way I'm returning it. Looks very nice and feels good in the hand, I wished it worked for me...
