Perfect for backpacking
The Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL is hands down one of the best ultralight tents on the market! It strikes the perfect balance between weight, space, and durability. As a backpacker, I appreciate how light it is (just over 3 lbs for the 2-person model), making it easy to carry on long treks without sacrificing comfort. The interior space is surprisingly roomy, thanks to the high-volume design that maximizes headroom and livability. Setup is a breeze, and the tent holds up incredibly well in various weather conditions, from windy mountain trails to rainy nights. I also love the large dual doors and vestibules, which provide plenty of storage space for gear. The reflective guylines and the multiple interior pockets are thoughtful touches. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and performance make it well worth the investment. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lightweight, reliable tent for backcountry adventures!

Great tent in my backyard
Haven’t taken the tent out yet so this is only half of a review. Will update after I hit the trail. I can say setup is easy and the tent is super light. I doubled my interior space while taking a pound off my dry weight. The material seems very thin but only time will tell. In order to tie the tent down for severe weather you need more stakes than the company provides. Not a game changer but if you plan on really severe weather you will need 12 not 8. The dual vestibules are a really nice touch. Given im a single camper my gear will be in the tent with me but to shelter wood, chairs etc at night will be very welcome. The conversion of a vestibule wall to a rain roof using trekking poles sounds better than it is. Having the “roof” to cook during the rain is a nice touch but if you have any wind the roof will be useless and the rain will likely get in your tent. (Used a sprinkler test and gusts of wind blew the water right into the tent wall). With the vestibule down, the tent was perfectly dry and shed the water without any problem. I’m really excited about this tent and have found no problems in back yard testing. I will update after my next trip which will be a winter camp. UPDATE- everything I wanted and then some! What a great tent. Fits perfectly in the long side-pocket of my GG mariposa. Made it through a really bad storm no issues. Set up easy peasy in the field. Lots of interior room at the same weight of most one man tents. Freestanding for my next trip into the high Sierras. Get this tent! Update #2. New info worth mentioning!! Sitting in camp in the great sand dunes nat park. Got a weather alert over the ZOLEO. 60-70 mph dust storm on the way!!!! Handled it like a champ. The wind speeds in our sheltered area were probably around 30-40 max but it keept about 90% of the sand out and stood up to hard winds for 3 days straight. Excellent product that continues to impress!!

Fully Freestanding!
Fully freestanding is what makes this tent so awesome. Two large vestibules, side entry, great headroom, and good quality materials are icing on the cake. The sides are held taut and flat to the ground; no flapping, sagging, or floor/side wrinkles like the BA Fly Creek. It’s basically a miniature car camping dome tent. I’ve backpacked with tarps, tarp tents, single wall tents, and double wall semi-freestanding tents, and none compare to the easy set up and protection offered by the Copper Spur. It is worth carrying the extra weight for the headroom alone and to never again set up a semi-freestanding tent short a corner stake because of rocks. I would rather have not had the “awning” feature, it is more trouble than it is worth. The tent in its bag is a little large and takes up valuable space, so I carry the poles and stakes on the outside of my pack and the tent inside. I love this tent.

Light & Sturdy
I love this tent. I used it when I hiked rim to rim in the Grand Canyon. It was very lightweight and quick and easy to set up and tear down. I spent six nights in this tent. The fly was good on the rims where it was down to about 50° on the south rim and 30° on the north rim. I did not use the fly when I was in the canyon because it stayed up around 80° even at night. There was enough room for me on my sleeping pad and some essentials inside. There is a very handy pocket towards your feet that can hold things like your phone or a flashlight. I feel like it was a great value for the price I paid,I am even considering purchasing the two person size for when my partner and I hike together.

Great tent, terrible purchasing experience
** first things first, do not purchase this from the seller I did, The Watch Locker, the tent I received had been used and had holes in the rain fly and bags. It was also missing most of the stakes. I was able to patch the tent with Tenacious Tape, but when i pay for a brand new item i shouldn't have to do that ** I've been backpacking for over 30 years, I've owned several tents, some old school, some ultralight and so far this one is my favorite, especially as a family tent. Set up is wonderfully simple, the poles are connected to a central disk and connects to the tent in a very intuitive way. The rain fly has its own pole but also connects simply. In this 5 person tent we fit 2 adults, 2 teens and 2 60lb dogs and were comfortable, it's absolutely palatial! On this tent's maiden voyage we went to a location about 11,000 ft above sea level and experienced a storm that was majestically terrible. Winds that were 60mph+, heavy rains, snow and even sizable hail. This tent took it all like a champ. No damage to the tent, despite the heavy weather and the debris it flung at us, no water seeping in anywhere, and enough space that the 6 of us lounged comfortably without feeling on top of one another. Takedown was as fast & easy as set up and we had no problem fitting it back into its bag. I didn't buy the gear hammock that goes with the tent but there are plenty of stash pockets to put headlamps, books, chapstick, and other small essentials that are nice to have in the tent with you. I was also impressed with the zipper layout on the doors, they can open from R or L to limit crawling over your tent mates when nature calls in the middle of the night. Some folks who passed by our camp commented on our tent, there was skepticism that the delicate looking fabric would be very durable, but it's tougher than it looks. One of the dogs with us is a puppy and if we didn't hang onto him while we opened doors he'd try to barge his way through. There were two times when he tried to barge his way through, I thought for sure he'd put holes in it, but nope, this stuff is stronger than you'd ever think. The only thing I have to warn about is that if you are over 6' 8" you may not fit well. We were laying with heads and feet at the doors and my husband, a bit of a giant, had no wiggle room his head and feet were right at the walls of he didn't curl up a bit. Otherwise I have no caveats about this tent. If you like to stay as a family all in one tent with just enough room not to get on each other's nerves but want to minimize the weight you're hauling this is the tent for you. I choked a bit on the price, but having used it I'm confident it will be the last group tent we need & will serve us well for many years.

Light weight tent
Super light weight and easy to set up. No footprint for the price is why i gave it 4 stars. No issues for me with condensation on a trip to the sierra’s.

Peach of a tent
I did a lot of research and checked a bunch of reviews before purchasing this tent for my outdoor enthusiast granddaughter. This was the one with the best evaluations. Lightweight, well-made, so easy to set up, resistant to wind, excellent rain fly, easy entry points, functional gear nets and hanging loops inside. She’s used it a number of times in desert, mountains, lakeside, and loves it more each trip.
