Limited Abilities
PhotoMirage seems limited in its animation abilities compared some other products that cost less. PhotoMirage needs much improvement in order to justify the price. It is tedious to edit work. You determine the strength of the "flows" by adjusting the length of the arrows with your mouse; there are no property pages with sliders or text input to make precise adjustments. The transitions are not well done. It is difficult to get the right speed. However, stunning results can be had in some cases with little work. The product has the ability to do more, but it's like an Easter-egg hunt finding what else can be done.

Don't waste your money
Overpriced garbage, program is extremity limited, even previewing the effects takes forever. Also recently discovered that there's an app that does everything this program does and only cost $5

Simple, Easy to use, Great for PC users
First off let me be clear I needed a software that would work on my PC, not as an app on my phone as I'm creating visual backgrounds for meditations. So right away most of the app based options were out the window. I only found a few options for desktop use and I went with this and Platoverse. This is a one time fee and Platoverse is a month to month subscription (not ideal).Right away I HATED Platoverse. You immediately get taken to a social media type account page where you are asked to add a creation. I doubt most buyers are clamoring for the social aspect of this largely unknown brand. There was an intro video by some bro looking guy in sunglasses which was not actually helpful as far as creating a graphic. So I was on my own apparently. I took FOREVER just to figure out how to use Platoverse and after a good effort I gave up and canceled my Trial membership (which was not as easy as it should have been).Ok so back to PhotoMirage. After signing up for the trial I was immediately taken to a tutorial video on how to actually create a graphic. Great!Using the program is as simple as it gets.1. Drag and drop your image (I used a CC0 image taken from Unsplash) Crop if needed2. Plot directional arrows (shorter strokes mixed with longer ones seem to work best)3. Mask off what you don't want to animate.4. Hit play to see what you did and adjust the speed (a toggle).5. Export to your PC (Export two files, one the native Corel file for later editing if needed) and the actual MP4.Stupid easy. The program is EASY to use. Its simplicity is its genius. If you want tons of options and effects this isn't the program for you. If you want to be up and running in minutes and have it work as intended this is the tool you want.If you ONLY want to use your phone there are cheaper options in the app stores (usually with ads too). But for my needs, this was perfect.I'll be able to add my creations to my meditations by using a screen record tool (my fav.) Screencast-o-Matic while I narrate my voice (Blue Yeti Mic) over these dreamy images. Exactly what I wanted.

Not worth the money
I downloaded the trial and it was okay. Easy to use, not always easy to get the result you want. Given the examples you can see at Corel and PhotoMirage.io it's clear you need to take a photo knowing that you'll want to apply these effects. Once you have the photo animated, all you can really do with it is post it on the web and hope people like it for a few days. It should cost $10-$15 at the most.
