THE BEST controller for a TRON fan
This is THE controller if you are a TRON fan like me. It's got a lot of memories from the movie! There is a nice rubberized grip on it but after some time the left analog started moving by its on. As many have claimed, some problems appear after time. Chinese stuff not well tested. Getting a 4/5 just because I LOVE Tron.

Its busted
These controllers are better than the normal xbox controllers except in one way and its a big one. After about a week the right analog stick wants to (on first person shooters and the like) make you look left if you stop moving it and i have two controllers i bought so its not just i got a random bad one. These are now useless to me. Ever try driving a car across a narrow bridge with both left tires flat? Playing a FPS is like that with these.

Long term collectibility concerns
Unboxed the controller for a photo. Despite being kept in an air-conditioned environment for all the time I've owned these collectible TRON controllers (in blue and the other limited quantity variants like green and yellow LEDs) since new, the controller condition degraded in the box. All the soft surfaces became extraordinarily sticky. Touching the controller leaves behind an invisible, unpleasantly sticky residue on the skin. Terrible choices in materials from a manufacturer (PDP/Pelican) that had the experience to know better.

It's not bad, but it's not the Xbox 360 controller, either.
To celebrate to Tron's return to theaters with 2010's Tron Legacy, and just in time for for the tie-in game Tron Evolution, Disney had PDP, known for their Afterglow line of game controllers, create for them a pad themed after the iconic look of the films. The Tron controllers for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii were the result. Multiple color schemes, made to mimic the color schemes of various characters from the films, were produced, and similar to the Afterglow line of controllers, plugging in these controllers caused them to light up in a similar fashion to the films. The controllers definitely look cool, especially if you like the look of the Grid and near everything on it, but do they perform well as controllers?...yes and no.Aside from the glowing sections of the controller and rubberized grips, there aren't any special features that separate this controller from the stock wired Xbox 360 gamepad; there's no turbo or programming functions, the layout is largely the same as the Xbox 360 controller (the shape of the controller itself is a little different, more on that later), and it has a decently long wire (a few inches longer than the stock 360 pad's). As mentioned before, the grips are rubberized, so there's even less chance of somehow, miraculously, letting slip your controller in the heat of battle, or something. It's a neat-looking 360 controller with decent grips, no more, no less. Also, this works well on the PC as easily as the stock 360 pad, it even shows up as a "Disney Tron Controller for Xbox 360," which is a nice touch.Using the controller feels quite good; it takes less force to move the joysticks around, same for pulling the triggers, the face buttons themselves have a nice click to them that the stock 360 pad lacks, and the d-pad is a nice, cross-shaped setup that's a good deal better than the stock 360 dpad, but still not something I would use to play BlazBlue with.Overall, it's not a bad controller, and would be great if not for some caveats. The most obvious thing holding this controller back is the shape. Whereas the 360 pad has a nice, gentle curve to the grips on the controller that made using both the triggers and shoulder buttons perfectly comfortable to use, the grips on the Tron controller are at a steeper angle, making resting your fingers on the triggers perfectly comfortable, but reaching the shoulder buttons less so. This isn't that much of a deal-breaker if you play games that make heavy use of the triggers, but games that use the bumpers a lot will start to wear on you. So Bayonetta and Devil May Cry are going to get uncomfortable, while Ninja Gaiden Black and II won't.The second issue with this controller is the build quality. It's not the worst I have experienced, but several months after getting the controller and using it regularly, the right bumper stopped clicking when pressed. The button itself still works fine, but every time I press it, it provides no feedback, making me wonder if I even pressed the thing in the first place. It makes me want to press the button even harder just to be sure. Fortunately I can resist the temptation, but it's still bothersome when my 360 pad still works perfectly well since 2008.Finally, it's wired. For those who like wired controllers, this one has an even longer cord than the stock controller, so hooray for you. Those who prefer wireless controllers will have one less thing to like about this controller. It's a hit and a miss for me; I don't like messing with batteries or constantly charging the rechargeable packs, but I don't like tripping over cords either. Finally, this is less of a minus and more of a "not-plus," but the glow effect can be distracting to some, especially in a dark room when you're trying to focus on your game, as the glow can show up in your peripheral vision and start to get annoying. So yeah, if you love all things Tron, this is the controller for you. It might not replace your stock 360 pad, however, but it'll probably do a better job of putting you in the mood when you play Tron Evolution than the stock pad, too.

So beautifully crafted, you will not want to use it as your regular controller...
Thank God, I am one of the fortunate persons that have this amazing controller. I am going to tell you my opinion of the different parts of this excellent item.Package: The package is superbly made, very professional. It is rigid, with a magnetic clip and so small that you won't believe it contains a wired controller, with a good length USB cord, with several Tron-related images and decals and a label that introduces the controller to the customer.Controller: I dare to say it is much better than the original Microsoft full licensed controller. The Tron controller is so good that I will suggest to MS ask to PDP for the construction of all the controllers. It is slightly bigger, not a big problem since the gamers with meaty paws (as me), it is a welcome feature and the persons with regular contact with the original controllers won't feel the difference in the size, since they are well comfortable. The big difference is the amazing grip, given by the rugged soft silicon coat (I believe) that covers the exact points of contact with the gamer's hands. It feels great and solid, and much more secure for slippage (you don't want to ruin a limited edition, collector's piece because of a fall). The response is very good, as expected for a wired controller, but I think only if you are an alien or have an outstanding motion sense, can feel the difference in comparison with a wireless controller. One of the things I've liked the most is the feeling of the buttons and they do less clicking noise than the original MS controller. On the other hand, the design is very good. Beautifully crafted and blue-lighted, a wireless form would be a battery devourer. In the aesthetic and Tron fan approach, this controller is so Tron-ish that seems like it's going to be flinging Battle Identity Disks at you. The only thing that I can say, as other reviewers is that the greenish xbox logo feels out of place. It should be substituted for a Tron-styled "X" or a Tron-related logo with blue lighting as the Wii and PS3 versions, that would be great. The controller comes with a small plate in the back, with the authentification code, as well as the corresponding number from the 20,000 controllers of this edition. As a plus, this controller comes with a promo code for a PDP Afterglow, limited edition t-shirt, free of charge, you only pay for the delivery (from 4 to 6 weeks) to your home or office. When you connect the controller to a PC (as I did), it is rapidly recognized and three drivers are loaded, and it is not recognized as the original XBOX controller, but the Disney Tron Controller. I've use this controller for a small GTR 2 race and felt very good in response and precision. In a nutshell: It is a beautiful controller, very responsive and precise, very comfortable and silent, and a good addition to a true Tron fan or collector.

Cool controller
This is a good controller. It is really cool to look at. All and all, it is a simple controller with a nice light pattern. It functions as it should.
