Great budget friendly RAM
This is in my opinion the best budget friendly ram on the market. Which is why I bought it, I have 4 of these in three different computers running in my house. The ram runs clean and smooth for me.Pros:Been using this ram since 2012 on three different computers, not a one has gone bad.Looks coolEasy to install to your PC.It works very fast and very reliableThis product is duel channelCons:NoneJust so you know:I had to turn this up to 1600 from 1333 on my Bios (it makes a difference)This is 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) (make sure your motherboard supports this before Buying)If you want to use duel channel make sure you have this product in the right slots, On my motherboard its slots 1 and 3 and slots 2 and 4. In other words 1,2 will not work duel channel.Overall an amazing product that I recommend for anyone trying to make a solid budget friendly gaming computer.

and was very pleased to have a flawless first time post
Hi readers, I ordered and installed this Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2x4 GB) DDR3 1600 onto my ASUS Z87 PRO (V-Edition) along with an Intel i5 Core 4690, and was very pleased to have a flawless first time post, and operation. It's been two weeks now running about six hours a day. No gaming, just movie editing, and work. I'm using a Samsung SSD, and from push button to turn on, everything is ready to go in just under 13 seconds!!! Like day and night compared to a HHD. I did a Passmark Performance Test and scored a 4671, which surprised me greatly. In summary, the Corsair ram I purchased has been crucial, (no pun intended), because my motherboard and cpu specify certain combinations that will work together. There is a wide variety of choices, and I chose this particular ram according to specs and my user intent. The only issue I had with this order which does not take away from the quality of the product, rather is directed to me and the Amazon Service. I tried the Amazon Prime 30 Trial, to get my ram in 2 days, which I didn't get in 2 days, it took 4 days from the moment I placed the order, and a mistake I made was not reading the terms of "30 Day trial". I was just charged an additional $105.23 for Amazon Prime because I didn't opt out within 30 days. My wife was pissed, and, as well, myself at myself for not paying closer attention. I called Amazon and they were very understanding and I got that Prime membership cancelled, and refunded back into my account. For me personally, I really do not see the need to pay that kind of money to get something I want fast. My bad. So, if you make this same mistake because your not paying close attention, count on it costing you $105.23, and that by the way is annually....

Great ram, X.M.P profile not set correctly
I bought this ram to replace my old Gskill 4x4gb 16gb DDR3 1866mhz set I had. Two of the sticks started to produce errors and I couldn't send it in for warranty since I lost my receipt. This ram worked out of the box with my AsRock Z77 Professional-M motherboard. By default it was set to DDR3 1333mhz 1.5v's. I had to manually set it to its rated DDR3 1600mhz. It wasn't an issue. I never had ram that was set to its rated speed since my old DDR 400 set from 2004 lol.The ram heatsinks really do an excellent job at cooling the ram, but they are huge! So if you are using a massive cooler like the Noctua D14, you might run into clearance problems. The only con about this ram is it's X.M.P profile. I don't know if its my motherboard reading it wrong or what, but its X.M.P profile sets the ram to DDR3 1556. Even CPU-Z reads its X.M.P profile as DDR3 1556. It's not that big of a deal since I was able to easily manually set the correct speeds, voltage, and timings, but it is weird. So beware, if you buy this kit, you might have to set the correct settings yourself.Overall, this is a great kit. No errors, fast, and the quality of the ram seems to be fantastic. I highly recommend it.

Bought these for my Intel i5-2550k & ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 z68
I recently upgraded my PC and decided to go with Intel this time... Although I already had 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair RAM from my previous build, I couldn't use them because they were 1.65v and may cause issues with Intel CPUs and intel motherboard chipsets. I decided to stick with Corsair because I had no issues with the previous RAM I had and ordered this RAM with 1.5v. Even though the CAS latency is at 9 (My other Corsiar XMS3 is a CAS 7 latency - lower is better/faster)... it was still fast! My previous build and a slight lag, but this build with these rams I noticed everything opened up and ran faster! Fairly easy to install and it is up and running with no issues! At installation it was operating at 1333MHz but with my motherboard I easly clock these to the advertised 1600MHz with no issues at all. The heat spreaders are TALL! This may conflict or block installation of aftermarket CPU heatsink coolers so make sure if you get aftermarket CPU heatsinks that it does not interfere with this ram. Overall I love this RAM and recommend it to everyone! So far my system is running smoother and faster than my previous build. The reason I built a new PC was to get ready for Ivy Bridge and for the new Nvidia GTX 600 series with PCI Express 3.0... the mother board I got supports PCI 3.0 when I swap out the i5-2550k for an Ivy Bridge...Current Build:Intel i5-2550kNvidia GTX 570Corsair Vengeance 8GBSamsung 830 120GB SSDHitachi 2TB 7200RPM

Ottime.
