Quite impressed!
My ancient Sansui 9900a was badly in need of service so with no phono preamp in my Sherwood AV receiver, I read around the net to see if an inexpensive phono amp was available. Audio Science Review took a look at the ART phono amp in 2018 and praised it as quite flat with extended response etc. and the reviews online seemed to concur. That and it was also a bit tweakable too. I set the capacitance at 100 pf to best line up with my Stanton 881s cartridge and set the gain to plus 2 so the green light would be on mostly with only occasional flashes of red. It actually sounded good. I read around the net and some recommended DC over the stock AC adaptor. I happened to have regulated center negative power supply and seeing as polarity isn’t a problem as the amp is engineered for both polarities, I tried it. It does make difference. I’ll make an a b comparison when I get the Sansui back, but I don’t feel compromised all that much. This is a good unit, dead quiet with the ground to turntable connected. I think at what I paid for it, it’s a good value.

No power button
Strangely, it has no power button. If you’re not going to be using it for a while you have to unplug it. Really, how much more would have cost to include a power button? A stupid design flaw. Otherwise, pretty decent preamp.

Great purchase
DJPRE II(ART) , its really great preamp, perfect for turntables ( phono) , first time experience, really great on powered speakers or any audio or amp receiver’s, decent price,

doesn’t allow for convenient use of power outlets on the back of most receivers or amplifiers.
Small remote power supply brings concerns for premature failure . The gain of this unit is unimpressive and limits the listening levels

Much like the blue Ortofon stylus, only a slight, if any, improvement.
Again, NOT AN AUDIOPHILE. I have a low end setup. A discontinued Audio Technica AT120 USB turntable. I had the Red Ortofon stylus and that was about as good as it got. I read the Blue was next level step up. Uh, ok. Then I read about the internal phono pre amp. How to remove it b/c it does not fully disengage when switched off. That led me to this Pre-Amp. Some had mentioned even w/o removing the internal pre amp this external pre amp made a big difference. It does make a slight difference. But I am not “Wowed”! So I will not spend the effort removing the internal pre amp. Just not a big enough difference to convince me it has been worth the money, let alone the effort. I will leave “Good Enough” alone, for my vinyl playback.

very good product and warm dynamic sound, in the same league as the Fosi tube mm (which has a bit more air but less punch in the bass). The user manual could explain a bit better how to optimize the gain, for me the "zero setting" was just pefect, some use -2 Also, the blue led is too strong, this has been said before, you can put black tape on it or just hide the device somewhere Power consumption is very low (2W) and the power brick is super heavy compared to any other similar externally powered devices I have tested before
