Perfect fit, strong!
They fit great on my 1988 300ZX Turbo. Much stronger than the last set that was failing and they extend further. Note: Remove both of your old ones before installing the new ones! I turned this 2 minute job into 30 minutes. I only removed one side and because the new ones are longer I thought they didn't fit or I would have to compress them. Turned out the hatch could go higher than the old ones would allow.

Works great, easy install.
These are super easy to install and fit my 87 300zx Turbo perfectly. I have a set of heavy metal louvers on my rear window but these struts handle it without issue. My Original struts needed a 12mm wrench to remove and the new ones needed a 13mm wrench to install, but that's all you need + something to hold up the hatch unless you have a friend. Took me 15 minutes of messing around before I realized that the new struts can just snap on after you attach the new fasteners. Job could be done in 5.

Fit Perfectly
The lifters fit perfectly on my 1986 300zx. The hardware was an exact fit. No fuss required. Recommended.

Direct fit replacement
Directly replaced the failed original hatch struts on my 86 300zx, one strut is enough to easily hold up the hatch, and the two of them make opening the hatch a easy job. These decelerate perfectly near the top, so it does not jarr anything. I will update this review if they fail at any point.

Works just fine on my Z31
The hardware this kit comes with will be key when you replace your factory hatch struts on any z31 - cuz Nissan decided to make the original struts non-removable from the stud. I’m glad I didn’t get rid of it. The hatch struts are very strong and you’d need almost both hands to close the hatch now, that or I’m probably just getting old

Installation fast and easy
This is a good looking product. My 1986 300 ZX Turbo is Red and Black Trim. The hatch lifts are black and looks Great. Easy to install quick and easy instructions. They are beefier than my orginal ones. And price was GREAT!
