Looks good. Don't know how well it works yet.

good value
Installed and works as expected. I like the fact that they give you a spare o-ring for the filter housing. The build quality is excellent and the purge valve is smooth in operation. No problems so far. I am on a well and this is filtering the sediment and bits of rust from a really old well pipe from the early 1940's.

Small leak after 1 1/2 years
After about a year and half later. I noticed that it had a small leak where boots part is screwed in. Unscrew the bottom and reapplied some plumbing grease seems to fix it for now.

Great Pre-filter
Connected to my system with ease. Works great and is well built.

The filter gets air bound if the water supply is air saturated at high pressure.
I have installed two of these filters at my house, where the municipal water supply is 120psi and air saturated. When the water goes through the pressure reducing valve (required because this filter is only rated to 90 psi), air comes out of solution and sits in the filter housing...thus blocking water flow. By having this filter in line, I would have to depressurize the house and bleed the air from the filter housing once a day.Not a good thing.
