This stuff is great. It’s good for fever blisters, cold sores and more. I have a sore on my nose from wiping my nose so much and it’s just about gone in a day.

LOVE this stuff. For me I think it works better than Abreva, Carmex and a few others. Really shortens the duration of cold sores especially if you start using at first cold sore tingle feeling. And can we talk about the price??? what's not to like

Here's my story. I've recently suffered 5 grueling months of recurring cold sores, ever since starting a new job. Prior to this, I'd get a cold sore every 4 to 5 years, triggered by fever or illness. So I initially started using Valtrex (up to 2000 mg daily) and was still getting cold sores constantly, a day or two between outbreaks. I tried Abreva but was still getting the beginnings of cold sores. They'd still disappear in a few days only to recur again. I turned to this Lysine product, solely relied on the great reviews. I put the product on as soon as I received it in the mail (it took about 10 days to get). Hallelujah!!! It's been 5 days now and I haven't had another cold sore. It's a bit early to be praising this item, but without it, for sure I would have had another cold sore by now based on what's been happening over the last 5 months. I can still feel the tingle - but no eruption of anything. I'm applying the Lysine ointment now every 3 hours, just in case. I will update this review when I've been using this ointment for a while longer. I am now a believer in Lysine. Apparently oral Lysine tablets (1000 mg 2 to 3 times per day) is well documented in research studies to be very effective in preventing and treating herpes simplex infections. I just started this regimen as well today. But so far, the topical seems to be working! UPDATE: 3/27/16 - This is still a miracle product for me. Works wonders for preventing cold sores. I have even purchased other lysine lip balms/ointments just to compare the formula. I feel that L-Lysine ointment (also purchased on Amazon) is a bit more moisturizing than this one. I still give Super Lysine 5 stars because it works, and would give it 10 + if I could. I have not had another cold sore since I've been using this ointment for 3 weeks. I am still getting some tingling, but have noticed it becoming less frequent. I am no longer using oral lysine tablets. The lip ointment is working just fine.

It helped heal a sore on my bottom lip in days time. Easy to apply and the taste was not bad. My daughter keeps it on hand for any type of lip protection.

I've gotten cold sores since I was 4, and mine are stress/sugar and sun/alcohol triggered. I think every one has slightly different versions of cold sores, but if yours are triggered like mine are, go get this now! I got it because of another review that said they use it for their sun triggered cold sore. I don't know if it works as well for people with food triggered cold sores but NOTHING I have ever tried has worked like this. I went and bought it after a day of applying Abreva (twenty bucks!) and having my cold sore get progressively worse. I only get one once or twice a year but nothing has ever worked very well. I started applying this yesterday morning and already my cold sore is starting to go away, and it's bad, like can't-go-in-public-cause-people-think-I-have-mouth-leprosy bad. But if you apply every two hours and pat off old stuff before applying new, it's almost magic. It sucks out the yucky and heals up the skin. Don't suffer any longer! I'll update when I see if this will fully prevent them next time. Update: 7/30/15 I haven't had a major outbreak since I started keeping this on hand, If my lips start to feel itchy or I notice a small blister, I apply some of this and the next day......nothing happens!!! No blister, no scab, no itchy, no red. I hope that this works as well for everyone with cold sores, as I know what a pain they can be, this has fixed something that has plagued (hehe) me, all my life. It's nice because it's not something I have to use unless I notice a problem, and then it's gone immediately.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Ok, so I purchased this product back in March 2016 as a precaution, because I've gotten cold sores As long as I can remember and for those of us who tend to get them, they make us very self conscious and always seem to appear at the worst times!. Let me tell you, I am EXTREMWLY happy I took a chance with this product. I just recently got a cold sore and as soon as I felt the tingling on my lower lip (after screaming in anger of course, that my old friend has returned) I immediately jumped up and searched for this Super Lysine+ ( i ordered it early this year I had no idea where I could have thrown it lol). I followed the directions of applying and reapplying every two hours while I was home and able to I chose not to apply it at work or have it on in public, because it does create a shiny glow that draws attention to it, but after leaving work I applied it before my drive home. So, let me put this in perspective for whomever may be reading this: I felt tingling on my lip Thursday morning before work (ugh) I applied the product every two hours while at home before getting ready for work. When it was time for me to go I took a thin piece of tissue a dabbed the residual substance off completely off. I DABBED it off. I ensured that I did not accidentally rub it in any way to irritate it. On my drive home I reapplied and continued this process in the following days. Waking up today, Sunday morning, I nocticed it was almost completely gone. It's not even gross looking like they usually get. Yeah can literally barely see anything. I'm just very happy with this product. I had to come write this review. It cut healing time in half as advertised. Only 3 days of a noticeable cold sore!! Unbelievable!! 5 Stars!
