I carried my 3 year old down a mountain on this
This took the strain off my back when carrying my son on a hike in the mountains. It was perfect and much better for me than a baby backpack.

Ok for hip carrying but not much different than carrying without it
I was excited to get this hip seat to help us with carrying our 25 lb 2 year old when he doesn't want to walk during our walks. We have the ergo and a kelty hiking back pack. We love both of those, but needed a simpler, lighter, and quicker option. After doing a lot of research, I chose thise carrier because it looked well made, had lots of pockets, and good reviews. We've used it a few times now. It doesn't give much support while holding our son like I was hoping. We've tried putting it higher and lower, making it really tight, but not really been as helpful as I would have liked. I've actually found carrying him on the front facing me is the most supportive of the positions.

Wasn't for my 2 1/2 yearold
My 2 1/2 year old would not set on it. He kept saying he was going to fall. It also was not very comfortable for me to wear. I tried three times to get him to sit on it and he wouldn't so I sent it back. Maybe it would work better for a much smaller child?

It's simpler and quicker use than my ergobaby 360 but No working!my 22lbs 15 moth old baby couldn't stable on it,he's going to fall so quickly, you must to hold him with both hands to make sure his be safety on.the worst thing is that carrier made my back legs and feet soooooo hurt!!!! even just used lightly time, uncomfortable baby carrier.i returned it back

but as she's gotten bigger these last few months its not as easy to use
Works well for quick trips to say, the grocery store or other in-and-out stops. Helps support some of my toddler's weight, but as she's gotten bigger these last few months its not as easy to use.
